So...so...so...cute!

I have seen the work up to volume 2 and so far the physical relationship still remain pretty much at shounen-ai level. However, this does not distract from this book being one of my top 5 favorite shounen-ai stories of all time. I have always loved Honma Akira's works - I collect all that has been published in English so far. She is very talented in writing both dramas & comedies. She is one of the rare authors who can craft both her ukes & semes to be cool & likeable while keeping their relationships intriguing. I love all the aspects of the stories found in this book: the cool, smart yakuza seme with a hidden weakness for cute little animals and the intelligent but timid doctor uke who instinctively know & fall for the good behind the tough yakuza facade. Despite all the lol situations that we got to enjoy as yakuza tried to rationalize how he had fallen for the doctor, there is an undercurrent of danger in their situations as the internal struggle for power within the crime organization heat up. The second story about the much younger, super intelligent seme who came back to claim his childhood crush of a nerdy civil servant is very adorable too. I love how the childhood flashback scenes where the precocious (potential) seme tricked his much older neighbor crush into spending more time with him by purposely failing his school tests.
I am impressed by June's quality of work in publishing the 1st volume of this series so far - I find it highly collectible. It is truly the best shounen-ai works I have seen published in 2011 so far & would recommend anyone to buy it.

I only read the first volume and I have to say, I regret doing that. Now I have to wait in agony for the next update. T___T

I like the idea that the author represent the two characters as the rabbit and the tiger. The story building is good and I can't wait for more.

I especially like the short story at the end, where the young seme goes for the older uke. I laughed at what is going inside the child's mind in the flashback.

Honma-sensei can do comedy! And do it bang-on!

I purchased vol 1 of this title based on her name alone. Previously, my love for Honma-sensei has been linked to my heavily loved copies of The Judged and Last Portrait. I have shockingly obsessive love for her art, plotting and stories belonging to those tankobon. Honma-sensei's dramatic, detailed (not cluttered!) art is outstanding, and her skill at manipulating the structure of manga for a fantastic story is profound!

Akira Honma proves to me she can do comedy, and do it smashingly! My gods, I couldn't stop rereading and relaughing every time! I was completely surprised...

Her serious, dark, angsty and semi-realistic art mixes deliciously with her shoujo-esque, big-bubble-eyed silliness of the bunny. She even does funny, exaggerated emotions of the yakuza. Not only is this fun-fun-funny, but she grounds the story with strong inner lives and sensitive insights about stereotyping and on the value of finding your 'safe' place.

Now, I know she is a mangaka of varied genre talent!

this mangaka works are always magnificent. This manga didn't disappoint me either. Both two stories are really entertaining. the art and expressions definitely grab your attention and even lose yourself into them. the story telling of sensei coupled with the right charas expressions never ceases to amaze me. Any reader will not even think of dropping it once you started reading. it's addicting. it's entertaining. it grips your heart. it can even make you laugh genuinely.

might be a spoiler ahead:
as for the first story regarding the yakuza that sleeps around, IMHO i find it realistic. the seme is a man and a yakuza to boot too. i find it natural that he sleeps around since he is yakuza to begin with and a man with sexual needs, especially to even ease his sexual frustration over the uke. he loves the uke much to force him to something that might shock him, so he diverts it to others. anyway, up to chap 6, they haven't done it yet. prolly when he got the uke, i am guessing he'll stop sleeping around or at least minimize it.

OMG, this is hillarious! Just imagine a sexy, smart but hot-headed high-ranking yakuza gang leader fell in love at the first sight for a timid but gentle and kind doctor who saved his life..he thought that the doctor was a women and imagine his reaction when he found out that she was actually a he! hahaha...but the story continues. I really love not only the comedy and humours in this manga, but also the unexpected gentle moments between the two main characters..you just can't expect the yakuza one second saying gentle words and the next he was yelling at the doctor! I just love the balance between the comedy and romance in this manga...highly recommended for those looking for a funny yet heart-warming yaoi manga!

seme that sleeps around, uke that likes him despite his temper and obsession with sex. how is that unique. same old boring story. im so sick of semes like this that get all jealous, and then put such an importance in getting sex from women, and taking care of their "needs." in one chapter he sleeps with the doc and immediately after he sleeps with a coworker of the doctor. oh yeah, what a great guy to fall for!

edit: i love how everyone is defending him sleeping around, cant he just pay women to come over his house and not sleep with them? itll seem like he is sleeping around, itll protect him partner, and he wont need to sleep around, risk hurting his partner, and or getting an STD. i dont buy his reasons for sleeping around. there is always another way.

Honma Akira Saiko~!

I always loved Honma-sensei's works. Usagi Otoko Tora Otoko has a different flavor than most of her regular works, but for some reason, this is my favorite out of all her works. I think it's the most polished (since this is her newest) and the humor is very well-polished. It explores an area in BL that is rarely discussed (yakuza and policemen, been done, yakuza and yakuza, done - doctor and patient, done, doctor and doctor, done -- why not do a yakuza and doctor this time?) and you know what? It works. The chemistry between the beast-like yakuza and the meek doctor is great. Unlike other BL, this is not just about the smex. (Story in BL? Blasphemy! But, that's what I love about Honma-sensei's works biggrin)

If you think the manga is funny, wait till you hear the drama CD. It's hilarious.

This Manga holds the highest position in yaoi ranking (may 2010) but I can´t understand the reason why. It is okayish, has nice art, a little bit of plot but not as much to keep me interested. Hmmm - It´s not really boring but also not funny or sad or anything.... not much to say about this one (including the animal characteristics) - sorry - in my opinion it´s simply average. Perhaps it´s getting better within following chapters.

It's been a while since I've read anything that really "woke" me up. This manga presents an extremely intriguing premise of a yakuza being helped by a nervous of a wreck doctor, thus beginning his search for his savior. The incorporation of animal characteristics has never been so well applied! 10/10
