Pretty good considering...

Really wasn't bad. Besides biology, the main morality issue standing in the way of incest is the whole question of whether the "caretaker" is taking advantage, or maybe even raised the kid into the whole relationship, the matter of consent is just too messy. But ike reibun found a loophole for that and I applaud her for ingenuity, this definity isnt a typical run of the mill incest. However that being said, I would say beyond that its not amazing. Not much else happens thats beyond your average bl manga. There are also a few things in the manga that could have been more tidy, like Ryou's motivations that drew him to his young father in the firstplace, knowing that it was really his father? Its kind of gross if you think that maybe he was that desperate for his love and attention he would do anything.....

Kinda meh for me

This isn't my first incest manga, nor will it probably be my last. Incest isn't something I go out of my way to read, but I don't mind it, especially when it's done well. Here, it was only so-so for me.

The development of the relationship has some good points and some bad. I think the mangaka needed to show the thoughts and psychological states of the characters a little bit more while they were developing the relationship in order for the romantic feelings to really be felt by the audience. Instead, if comes across a little bit like they got together just because they were only around each other at the time, which doesn't happen without actual attraction between two people. The attraction was missing for me.

On top of that, the supernatural element (the time travel), while I appreciate it as an inventive way for the two to meet and fall in love, wasn't really explained well. It kind of just happened... no real explanation why it would happen at those times, what caused it, or anything else. Of course, it's a supernatural element so things like that don't need to be explained, right? Sure, if you want to go with contrived plots. When the time travel is the only thing that makes your story happen, the only supernatural element in your story and it only happens at points it needs to for story telling, then it's way too contrived for my appreciation.

Also, the ending felt a little rushed and unresolved. Basically, the whole plot could've worked better toward a clear end that felt satisfying, and while it made a valiant effort to do so, it fell short.

So why did I rate it so high? Well, it's cute enough as a story. The art is decent. There is some proper character development (though I'm kind of strict on character development in a story and it wasn't satisfactory for me). And overall you can do worse if you're looking for an incest story (much worse -_-;; ). My overall thoughts are you can read this one if bored or if you're looking for something with these kind of elements in it (father/son relationship with time travel), but don't expect a masterpiece.

Still on the fence about reading this one?

When I started this manga last year, I used to stick to yaoi manga where the two aren't related at all by blood. Adopted children? Fine. Step siblings? Go for it.

However, I think this was the manga that definitely changed my mind about it. I mean, sure, it's just a piece of fiction so it'd be silly to get too upset about it anyway. I started this manga knowing that it was a father/son relationship. I definitely thought I was going to be disgusted but I decided to give it a shot due to the high ratings. By the middle of the middle of the manga, I was rooting so hard for them to get together. ;-; Seeing their emotions so clearly that I could feel them was so beautiful. You can teelll that they're so compatible and their compassion is beautiful.

I highly recommend anyone to give this one a shot if you're on the edge.

Humm, it just feels weird. First time reading an incest story, and I'm really uneasy about it. And you don't even get to know why they get into a sexual relationship. It just happens without a real development. So it is not really hanging together.
I don't think I'll get into more incests. It's just too wrong. I guess from this author's view point, I'm just an other borish person that doesn't get the beauty of having sex with your own children!

I finished reading this manga a long time ago so bare in mind that this not a fresh straight-off-the-bat comment right after reading the story, and that there might be some areas I could not cover wholly. Nonetheless with what that manages to stay on my mind, I have to question why this manga got so many positive reviews and such high ratings? The first volume is quite decent I admit, but the second is just lazy writing to put it bluntly. I felt like it was cut off suddenly to come to a conclusion that doesn't satisfy at all. Right now all I can remember is a big chunk of unresolved - or at least poorly resolved - matter and let me tell you that is not a pleasant feeling at all. On the whole I can't really be in this manga's favour unfortunately.

It's strange and sad and I still ended up liking both of them. They are soul mates stuck in very inconvenient bodies. *Cries a little* I really wish for their happiness regardless of their blood ties.

honestly, i'm not used to incest like this, but, the dialogues and the plot
seriously it can make any un-used yaoi fangirl like me to like the characters
and sympathize with their forbidden relationship.

....the end was half-assed. I'm not a fan of incest stories, but this one pulled me along really well with good characters and an interesting time jump conflict, but the end? Pathetic. It's like the mangaka wanted to build along for another volume, and the publisher cut her off. It's really out of left field. Regardless, read it! It's captivating.

I haven't felt like this in so long. This manga was just so absolutely mesmerizing. Easily a favourite. The plot, if crazy, was nonetheless magnificently executed, so much so that I surrendered with little to no effort on its part. The characters are fleshed out to near perfection, the art is simple, lovely and gorgeous, the smut is great--- ah, what's there not to love about this work.

I don't particularly care for child-parent incest but I have read my fair share of them (of course, otherwise I wouldn't know if I cared for them at all). Therefore, I must admit I was quite ready to turn this down after the first chapter or so, even before I reached beyond the cover. I was not prepared, however, to fall so deeply for these characters and their tale. It was a turmoil of emotions page after page: the subject of incest regardless of genre is hard enough to swallow as it is, but here, with time-travelling as a major plot device (surely we all noticed Konomi and Ryou weren't the first to undertake on this adventure), the whole issue is put entirely into perspective under microscopic lends. It's not a matter of why is this love between a parent and a child, which started so long before the latter was even born, wrong or unhealthy or morally reprehensible. Ryou knew who Konomi was in the past and he still couldn't stop himself from falling in love - perhaps because that Konomi wasn't his dad yet, and yet he was. Where does that leave Ryou's mother, the older woman whose eyes were of such a strange brown Konomi would have never seen before if it was not for that man who once appeared in his yard out of nowhere - who, again, was light years away from ever existing. What of her, who was but her own child's replacement in the past and in the future. What of Masa-kun, that man who Konomi loved or think he loved but was, then, someone else? And what of Konomi himself, where does he come from when his own grandmother, we know, has seen her husband suddenly appear on that same yard (far worse than not knowing how he did it, we don't know from which future/past/dimension he came)? The web of relations is much deeper than you would imagine, that's why I say this is not merely a case of taboo and morals - of course it is also that.

I'm sure that, whenever I reread it (because I definitely will) I'll find an even greater world within it, ahah.
