Description
Wild's High has a 42-year history as a fighting specialized, girls only, private high school meant solely for the elite. It is also the place that Wild's-League is held: the most popular event in the country and the only place in the world where teenage girls have brutal fights with their lives on the line.
One year the school changed from a girls only school to a mixed gender school. The only male student, Song Jae Gu, has been granted a full 3-year scholarship regardless of grades. Being someone who had to spend every moment either working or taking care of his younger brother and sister, he accepted.
But after meeting Queen, the bloody champion of Wild's-League, drenching her in coffee, calling her a monster, and getting caught seeing her while she was taking a shower... his scholarship could prove fatal.

Its cool, but im not so shure about the "main" girl. Sometimes i feel it would be more intresting if they make the relationship develope between the main lead and the girl with the cat ears. She is realy cool.
Dice drawing. And its realy comical somethimes

Unique series: read this before you decide to start this series

For those of you who hate it, and for those of you who love it, there is one undeniable fact. This series is unique. I, personally, love this webtoon because it portrays each character with incredible amount of detail, which you don't often see in many other series. The art is very well done, the humor is never forced and the plot is exciting. This series will even tug on your heart strings in the most unexpected scenarios. This, I now consider to be one of my favorite series out there because of how well everything is put together. From what I have seen, these are the following "critiques" that people have with this story:

1. Romance is bad: Let me explain something, this story isn't entirely just based on romance. If you are here for that, you should stop reading. I understand the male lead can be clueless about the 2 girls (which doesn't even really qualify this as a harem really), who like him, but almost all "actual" romance stories follow the same thing. It's only now that he has stepped up and shown his real feelings.

2. It's predicable: Also, not true, at all. People claim it follows the lose, train, win, get the girl formula, but I don't know what they have been reading. This story revolves around a weak boy, who even after training loses many battles. Surprisingly enough, after reading many sport stories, this has to be one of the most realistic. Now, (spoiler alert), he declines "wanting" the girl. There is nothing predictable about this series, and that's one reason I enjoy it so much. Proof of this, follow the comments below the webtoon on their naver site. Best example is from the latest chapters. People had NO idea that the events portrayed were going to happen.

3. It's stereotypical and cliche: Well no shit its stereotypical? It's about strong female leads who often get looked down on by males, which happens all the time in real life? Especially in the sports world? As for the series being cliche, how? Again, it brings back the predictability factor, this series doesn't portray the common male leads who train and become masters a few chapters down. I can't think of any major cliches in this series.

To each his/her own, I believe this series deserves more credit than it gets. For the haters, stop being so critical, and enjoy it. One day, this could easily become a hit animated series, which I am really hoping for.

I'll complain about character evolution: When you read on chapter in a week, it kind of slipped my notice, but reading it over from first chapter - it's totally off. MC hates women, has a darn good reason to do it, but he just get over it in blink of an eye. Same for original girls trio, they have their stuff and then just BAM, forget about it.
I wish it would have been done more fluid.
Story as well lacks a bit of natural flow, so to speak.

For a webtoon it has really nice art. Na... I'll even drop that webtoon part. It has really nice and fitting art style.

It's a great entertainment, so job well done, "Girls of the Wild's"!

Great character design. There are a lot of hilarious moments. And obviously the main character will go through some kind of personal growth with martial arts. I would like to see a more developed antagonist or conflict or a goal than what was stated so far.

This is a great Korean webtoon and shows why the medium is surging with so much popularity lately.

The male lead is extremely daft when it comes to relationships. This would usually always put me off from reading something for so long since it's used as a huge clutch to drag the story out unnecessarily (which is demonstrated in this manhwa with no exception). So why haven't I dropped this yet? Several reasons. One would be that the MC is also very hard working and independent. Very mature in most aspects yet 0 points in the romance department for initial reasons based on mommy issues but I'm sure the author already forgot about that at this point (ch196). I personally enjoy a mature MC but totally understandable if others find this archetype boring.

Second reason is the comedy. When used, it's used so well. It's both hilarious yet interwoven so intelligently into the story that it adds so much character and life to the cast. Personalities of the characters are so well polished on just the comedy alone.

Third is the art. All the characters so far are all drawn very uniquely with easy to identify characteristics. Drawing all your characters like this is really hard and usually goes unnoticed when done right. The author does a good job at drawing the action scenes in very clean and easy to digest way. Also the action feels pretty grounded in semi-realism so far, so that helps.

Some of the cons to look out for:
Many situations and arcs feel forced. Granted this is a battle shounen depicted in realistic-ish modern Korea so I understand the constraints, but certain characteristics from several characters feel forced/lacking at times to force a plot to continue in a ridged path. Certain arcs even feel like filler, but so far the plot still holds up overall.

What I got was a youth drama. I figured I could dig it anyway for the romance, but.... As I read on, it became apparent to me that the main characters tend towards stoic. Similar to the Japanese concept of 'Suffer silently". A couple may be rather flamboyant, but it's camouflage. The story is actually really frustrating to me now, as there's lots of misunderstandings because pain and desire tend to be hidden for duty in most characters. Not to mention romance is the last thing on Song Jae's mind. You can see how this could and is going south romance wise, yeah?

I feel this is a pretty mediocre over all. Love the art style though.

I would recommend Holyland over this one. Holyland would be more of a steak, if Girls of the Wild's were a hamburger. Steak's better, but a hamburger isn't bad every now and then. Just save up a ton more chapters before reading it is all I can say.

I really find this series fascinating, in my op. it's similar to Kenichi but more... hm... awesome^^
I personally dislike Kenichi, i find story *caugh**caugh*stupid*caugh*. But we are speaking about "Wild's", so in the same setting of personal growth of male lead you'll be like "omg zomg zomg, i like that!". Even if it'll turn out as *Weak-to-Strong-Male-Lead-Battles-While-Female-Species-Get-Wet" I'am sure I'll continue to read this ^_^
About "Harem" part read World Abyss comment.

Btw, stop saying "Quuen turns in tsundere" she is nothing like that, read what tsundere means first. She's more like "I like you, but you'll never know about that" type.

Well, I can't deny to be afraid of the possibility of the manhwa going in the direction insinuated by blackrosevirus. But now, up to chapter 15 it certainly the girls aren't at all behaving "maidenly", as the director might want them to. It's to a certain degree about them wooing him, but not at all through "feminine wiles", rather more directly, and they aren't the least ashamed of being strong or anything in that direction, as they often are in the "you're a girl, become more feminine" or "you're a boy, become mor masculine" mangas.
Apart from setting heterosexuality as norm, it's pretty different from them. And very funny and interesting. And the Art is indeed good. Thus 9/10 points.

It's a stereotypical and cliche story...The characters aren't anything special. Plus the fact that it follows the train, win, lose, train formula, makes it extremely predictable. I wouldn't have minded either if the characters were interesting, but they're one dimensional and there only to fulfill certain character tropes. The only redeeming quality in this manga, is the art. It is nice to look at, but ultimately doesn't add to the intensity of the story too much. The "romance" is pretty cringey as well...It doesn't come off a realistic or even believable. As the characters are so monotonous and unlikeable (especially the MC) even the romance falls flat.
