Description
From Shoujo Manga Maniac:
Butterfly is a young geisha in training. She loves and admires her childhood friend, Chinatsu-san. He’s a tattoo artist, and he paints butterflies on her arms and is kind to her. One day she visits Chinatsu and finds a naked woman there. Butterfly is devastated at the thought of her friend with another girl all along. Soon after, a rich foreigner offers to buy Butterfly and take her to live luxuriously in a faraway land with him. She’ll miss life at home, but maybe it will help her forget Chinatsu. But does she really want to?

I put off the manga for a long time now because it didn't seem to appeal to me the story line and all. But since I love the author I read this despite me not really wanting to read this because I didn't want it to be some complicated love story. It was a very enjoyable manga, very light and easy going.

This is one of my Favs now (heehee) I loved the story and the art.The characters are so damn cute i could hug 'em. It really is one unique manga. In vol.2, the feelings were played around so much i felt like crying. But in the end, all's well. YAY! Recommended~~Nyaha. The one-shot was extremely saddening but i liked it alot. The omake was funny it made me smile :>

I really, really, really love this series. The story may be a bit predictable, but the way it's told is really quite extraordinary. I could empathize with the characters and every scene is wonderfully drawn. This is one of the only manga that I have ever gotten teary-eyed at, and I almost never cry.

OMG its not funny when they play around with our feelings in that last chapter! I was so heart broken and wanted to cry... but then all came well towards the end!! ahh what a relief!! :)
best story ever!!!

This anime I have to say was one of my favorites it was a very sweet romance and brought me to tears! I never got bored! I loved the ending and it didnt leave you hanging, I HATE it when mangas leave you hanging so I highly recommend this one!!!<3<3<3

The art is pretty and clean. Everything is just nice to look at.

Story (40%): 9
I normally don't like historical manga but this is more shoujo than historical if that makes any sense. The story is funny at some parts but also made me cry a lot. It is not a tragedy though. This is a nice short manga to read.

Character (40%): 9
The characters are likable but none of them are extraordinary on their own. The relationship between the main characters is sweet and cute.

Enjoyment (10%): 10
I cry at some parts and laugh at other parts. Sometimes I'm just amaze at the art. I recommend this manga to everyone even to the people that doesn't like shoujo.

I just finished reading this manga and I'm still drying the tears from my eyes. This manga is so beautiful in every single way. It's a beautiful heartwarming story with gorgeous art and a beautiful romance. The story is so sweet it touches your heart making you laugh and cry with the characters. Even the end was beautiful and the omake was funny and perfect. If I could I would give it an 11/10. I absolutely recommend it!!!!!

I love the manga, of course some things could have been added....like a sidestory in which the hero was still recovering in leyte ( An Island in My country...which gives plus points for mentioning the place 8D) and the time he spent there...but wishful thinking. The characters are cute and the story is dramatic without going to super emo mode that you wish the characters could have just died.

i really like it!!!

the plot, the chracters, the development and also especially the ending!!! everything was all well paced...as well as their relationship!!!

i also like the fact that it showed the details of the world war 2...i have always seen the side of the story from my country...yeah im from the Philippines... but ive never been to leyte...

fufufufufufufufu...i really like it...its so heart warming and very...*sigh*
