From Del Rey:
Hana Suzuki loves only two things in life: eating and sleeping. So when her handsome classmate Izumi Oda talks her into joining the school hockey club, how is she going to survive getting up early, working hard, and playing well with others? True, the Grand Hockey Club is full of boys - super-cute boys at that - so maybe it won't be so bad after all…

I lost interest towards the end
At the beginning, it was quite something. However, as the characters got more confused and oblivious about their feelings and others' it was not funny anymore, rather, annoying, cliched and stupid. So I skimmed through probably the last three volumes.
Meh, at least it somewhat "there" 8.4 probably a bit less.
Loving it :D
Its just so amazing. Gonna make his short so just gonna list out the wnderful things in this manga. I like Hana`s personality. Not girly, always sleeping and eating (much like me). And lol to Natsuki`s use of his `thing` to catch people off guard. I love how they always think he`s a girl then he pulls his pants down and The romance between Oda and Hana is reaaaaaally slow. Last thing, I love Seimei and Wacky . They`re just hilarious. And the glasses dude being like a mother. lol.
This is probably my 2nd favorite (shoujo) manga right now! I absolutely love all the awkward/sweet moments between Izumi and Hana. Not only is this manga awkward/sweet it's also hilarious! I laughed so hard on some parts! By the way I think everyone needs to stop comparing it to Ouran... yes they ARE similar... but we've all established that. And well My Heavenly Hockey Club actually came first... So maybe Ouran should be the one with all the comparisons. Anyway this is great manga, a total MUST read!
Simillar, so what :)
It's just like MissRaw said; it's very simillar to OHHC however the art is very different what makes it acceptable and besides who doesn't like reading that kind of story even if it resembles another manga
it does remind me of ouran with all the handsome and rich guys but the girl is the exact opposite of haruhi...but it's great in it's own way with the downplayed romance between the girl and the president of the club
not your typical shoujo
Very much recommended if you like Nodame or Ouran. The bad? There are only 3 vols released by Del Rey. Need more...
crazier than ouran koukou host club
The characters remind me so much of Ouran but this one is so much crazier, imo. This is just like any Ai Morinaga manga -- quirky and fun. The heroine likes to sleep and eat and nothing else. The president of the hockey club is like Tamaki, but instead of having a fetish for commoner's things, he's a globetrotter.
this is great! I was a bit down because Funny wrote there wasn't much romance, but i actually think there's enough, at least more than Host club, i just finished reading the second volume and i want more!!! >.>;;
This manga is hilarious!! I couldn't stop laughing. It is rather similar to Ouran Host Club... fans of that manga will love this. The girl protagonist is really funny and interesting. The bad thing is that the guy protagonist can be such an idiot (Just like Tamaki)
Am I missing something?
This manga didn't amuse me. I found the humor to be slapstick, not subtle or witty in the slightest. I don't see the purpose behind having so many main characters; most of them don't serve much of a purpose, other than to hang around and look pretty.
Anyway, that would all be perfectly acceptable, if that's what you prefer in a manga; however, I couldn't get over the fact that there seemed to be no overlying plot, no arc, nothing. It was just a chapter-by-chapter storyline, almost like one of those crime/police TV shows (that is to say, if you miss a week's episode, you're not losing out on anything).
Simply put, I didn't really like it all. The humor didn't appeal to me, and the fact that THERE IS NO PLOT was a little... irritating. I didn't care about it's similarity to Ouran (which I don't really like, either), as I'm pretty sure this was published a year earlier.
