Not that special

You can definitely see a lot of influence from Ai Yazawa's (NANA) work. It's in the way the author draws people's expressions and their behavior, such as the whole 'sweatdrop in the middle of forehead' and 'spontaneously bemoaning my fate while freaking people out' thing.

The art is okay at some points. It could be good if the author spent more time on it.

Overall, the manga itself is okay. It's nothing special. The girl is your average teenager who just happens to become a successful model while somehow not looking that special compared to the other models, and in the middle there's some tragic drama.

Read this on a rainy day.

Different from what we're used to read and hilarous on top if that! I simply LOVE this manhwa and I'm always looking forward for any update... too bad it will never be licenced and sold in a book otherwise I would have bought it for sure!

Started out good, but then got too boring

This manga started out good, but then it just got really...long. I loved the characters at the beginning of the story, and the comedy was hilarious. The characters really began to develop as the manga went on; you got to see so many sides of every character. I liked that no character was really what he or she seemed to be at the beginning. There was just so much more to every character. The only problem with this manga is that it started getting somewhat dark and depressing, which may be appealing to a lot of people, but for me that just meant the manga started getting really boring. I liked the depth that came with the "dark and depressing" atmosphere, but I hated that the manga lost a lot of its light heartedness and comedy. Essentially the manga just got really boring for me. It's a good read, but just know that the atmosphere of the manga changes quite a bit as the story goes on.

One of my Favourites

I totally love this manga! Art's good, story's nice, fashion is awesome, and there's character growth! (Added bonus!)

I disagree with Baniita. Try to get past chapter 29, OK? Yes, she's annoying in the beginning, but she grows. And please don't hate on her because of her grandma. *spoiler alert* Privileged people like us have no idea how hard it is to lose the only person that looked after them. People react to things differently, so please calm down. And just like how straight people can become gay, gay people can become straight. It's the soul that counts, not the body. Don't worry so much about how it's worded. Angus is very important to Eros' story, and is a part of Lele's growth, too. You are reviewing the work without getting to the main story.

Potential readers, please don't be dissuaded. I recommend this manhua, especially considering Nicky Lee's art is unique to the style and the story is enjoyable.

Okay, I am seriously out of here. Now I remember why I don't read manwha/manhua. Though the art is good, and the fashion designs are gorgeous... The tone and writing are borderline retarded and are completely inconsistent. The scenes are overly melodramatic. The main character is seriously annoying and goes into spaz attacks randomly in a way that is not at all amusing.

Her "world shattered" and she was unconscious over a week over her dead grandma?! Jesus Christ, woman. She's old. Old people die. And no, she's not at peace in heaven, she's probably decomposing in the ground or burnt to smithereens.

What's the worse part about this manga I absolutely cannot stand is that apparently, gay people can be turned straight. Lele's father wasn't even gay. His lover, on the other hand--I want to rip the author to shreds when that guy said "when I used to be gay". USED TO BE gay? ...I don't even. No. No, it doesn't work that way. Sorry, author, maybe you've had a crush on a gay guy before but he's not going to look your way. Get over it.

Also, what exactly is the purpose of Angus, exactly? I mean, from the beginning, I was always more interested in Eros. Personally, I prefer Eros with the stubble.

Ugh, I stayed as long as I did for the art, but I just can't anymore. :X

...Also, please don't compare this to Skip Beat. The tone is completely different and the heroine isn't just some woman with nothing but love on her mind. Kyoko is a badass, and isn't a whiny unprofessional brat. She doesn't waver in her determination unlike Lele. That manga actually focuses on developing her talents, instead of here how Lele miraculously just pulls amazing out of her rear. (Well, Skip Beat has its own flaws, but the writing itself is flawless. It's also actually funny.)

The first time I read this, it was when it first came out. Now there's 11 volumes! I wish I didn't catch up so fast. I really like the story line. Lele developed into a great model and her personality matured (even if she's still silly around Eros, Angus and her friends! I'm excited for the future chapters!

UPDATE: somehow, I stopped right at 109, before the last chapter came out. I don't know HOW or why I thought this was good (perhaps it started out great), but compared to so many other manga/manhwa/manhuas out there...don't waste your time on this. Perhaps my tastes has also changed since 2012, but don't put yourself through that torture! I'm not even going to reread it.

On my all time list this makes the top 5. The drawing, though very angular, is gorgeous and bold. The eyes are done amazingly, so heavy lidded and expressive! The characters are given so much depth you really reach out to them. It's funny, but also very melancholic. I love both Eros and Angus, each of them has that dark edge that makes them seem like more vibrant characters. I never even expected Angus to be given so much depth! My heart ached for them so much X'( The time line is done nicely, I can even tell the time passing by the heroine's hair. The costume designs are gorgeous, it is realistic enough to make me believe that it was inspired by real cover models biggrin This story has compelled me to read into what will be 3 in the morning by the time I'm done, and I have to get up at 6. It is that good.

one my fav. manhwa

the reasons why it one of my fav is because there is great chatacter devalpment.
to me it is realistic and has realistic problems
i love the art too.

P.S
@childofsecrets: i agree with everything you said
@Inori Yuzuriha: i dont agree with anything you said. haha sorry no offence
-Why: to me she is like an everyday normal girl from this generation sure her mom and dad were previously famous modals but so what it was there job that they did for money its no diffrent from someone having a job that is limited and competitive like a governor or a realy high position at apple but, do you see there kids plastered on magazines or are they in like the latest gossip not realy and they go to a normol school like everybodyelse. sure she is a fan girl but not of Angus but she later finds out its Ying (what she calls him not Eros, also it the chinese name his mom gave him). i mean, come on what girl is not a fan of some type of idol like a model, actor/actress, band, or singer(haha even a guy should have at least have one, also i could just be one genre, for ex: my mom is a fan of an singer, even i have one of an band, singer, actor, actress.) the reason she becomes more serious and not some crazy fan girl if because she grew up and became an adult like everybody will. Lele also did have a goal she went into the modeling indrustry because she wanted to know more about Angos (later is Ling like i expained above) and become at the same level as him. also her aunt did not force her to model because of her

it was because she had signed a 2 year contract so she could not leave in-tell two years. also to me it is realistic. you said she should not of became that famous within two years beacause of her looks but it is possible to be a famus model whom is not very pretty, the reason she got famous so fast is because she had a passionate air around the camra and could easily change her expression that look realisic. also Ying is not a famous movie director but runway director. and lastly the is a reason that Eros and Ying look alike because they are identical twins so you not supose to realy know who is who, the way you tell is the way they act aka personality.

finished reading to Chapter 83

When I first read it, I thought it was by Yazawa Ai, because the art was kind of similar, but after checking and continuing reading it, i found the art was different in its own way. Also at first it reminded me of skip beat, but the plot is much more different. Overall, I really liked it! It has a lot of aspects that are similar to other mangas I've read, but Nicky presents it all in a unique way~~which I really like~~I would say though although the plot was good; sometimes it was also a little confusing; often its skipped from one point to another and it takes me awhile to adjust.(so it doesn't flow as nicely~) But on the bright side this is the first manga shojo manga I've read that also has gay characters( a bit of yaoi) so I like that too haha. Now I'm just a bit sad that I've finished reading it as I really want to know what happens next~~

More Yaoi than shoujo romance

Although the main characters are straight, you're engulfed in the romances of secondary characters, often disturbing ones too. Old man with younger guy kind of stuff. Meanwhile there is little romance between the main characters but a whole lot of drama. It's not a bad read though, the story has potential but you just have to have the stomach for it.
