As much as I enjoyed this manga I felt as though it was rushed, I'd like to have seen more of Kairi and Shou's relationship develop. But other than that I thought it was quite cute, so I'm giving this a 7.
One of the sadly mediocre works, and that's too bad because it has quite a lot of potential to be...... dramaticly convoluted and elaborate.
Personally I don't like most of Kamon Saeko's uke -- all of them are trembling ukes and nothing else, for chrissake-- but the seme intrigues me. This is the case, except I can't really find any sympathy about the seme too, and the uke.... is understandably scared (albeit the mental image of a scared tiny little creature doesn't ever got off from my mind..)
almost no characteristic beyond tropes, the story itself is pretty... 'huhlolwutwha?', and...
.....do grapes grow in trees?
good art can't really save this one.

I found this through a friend's recommendation. I didn't hesitate to read it because the art is the first thing that draws me in. And wow, is the art beautiful... but the story fell short for me. This is probably the cheesiest thing I've read in a while. The uke is incredibly weak, unable to defend himself and is constantly weeping and blushing. The seme I can't even begin to start on; he's simply a bully. It's one of those stories where the seme goes "I rape you, but then I do a little nice thing and hug you," and the uke goes "oh, well he's cuddling me now and he's a lonely soul so I guess that makes everything fine." And that's not even all.. throughout the manga the uke is CONSTANTLY referred to as a "bride" and "wife". And he seems to have no problem with it. Wtf? I'm sorry, but I'm only giving this a high 6 because the art really was one of the best I've seen. That's it, unfortunately.

how many times i saw the cover page but was not very interested at it. it didn't capture me at all. I gave it a try because of the ratings. man, reading and turning each pages are just breathtaking. a gorgeous art with sweet story to match with. emotions are drawn well and it is amazing when flipping each pages containing a good storytelling. the premise might be a cliche but it was told rather well. i recommend it.

No matter how weak or girly Kairi is, that doesn't give Shou the right to treat him like a pet and rape him. This manga disgusted me simply because of Shou's behavior. Kairi's passive ways (I mean, he said NOTHING when he was told he was going to marry some prince) and his absolute defenselessness were annoying, but that's not what really bothered me. Shou's cruelty and disgusting treatment toward Kairi made me totally sickened. He was an overbearing tyrant til the last chapter.
Sorry for ranting, but Royal Fiancé royally ticked me off.

All I could do was feel horrible for Kairi and extremely ticked off at Shou. The poor kindhearted boy didn't deserve to be treated that way, and even after Shou found out his situation, he still acted like a [insert any inappropriate insult here]. And that rape seen was too much. I'm sorry I read this, I was that sickened by Kairi's crying and terrified face as that good-for-nothing jerk mercilessly raped him. And then- oh! He brought you the flowers?! Oh, he's holding me while I sleep (yknow, after he raped me and ordered me around like a dog)! He's such a good guy, aw, I guess I can somehow forget his behavior toward me and how he raped me and suddenly really love him! Yeah!
Um... no. Not my kinda manga. And Shou told Kairi's grandma that he'd "take good care of him?" Psh. More like, "I'll use him as I please and control him." And he kept calling Kairi his wife. Well I don't know about his personality, but his body? Yeah, he's quite obviously a male. ...Not a wife.

the art is beautiful, it is just great, especially in sex scenes it made my heart go PANG all the time! 
gosh, such hot, steamy passion! also the story has a neat and acceptable plot line, a not very complicated fairy tale with a happy ending. some thing sweet and easy to love but the main problem is how prince and others are treating Kairi exactly like a woman. it is not just about Kairi being feminine or delicate, it is more like they don't see him as a man at all. (check the wedding scene to know what I mean) it was tolerable to some extent but after a while it really was getting on my nerves and some how it ruined the good atmosphere of the love story for me.

beautiful!!! The art is by far the best. You can feel every single emotion on thier faces, just beautiful 
Plotwise i suppose it's nothing new, but the art makes up for it and makes you see this type of fairytale romance in a whole new light. Love it <3

This thing is so bad i can't find the words to describe it. The only reason i gave it two is because of the art.
It seems that this type of plot has worked so well for shoujo that they've had to move it into yaoi to make more profit. Then again, what's the point in forcing a royal to get married to claim his authority if the bride happens to be a guy who wouldn't give birth anyway? (Or can he? Are the women now supposed to have flown out of the world forever, leaving the men alone on the Ai no Kusabi's planet? )
Don't get me wrong. Let aside that men's marriage, the plot is pretty intriguing, supported by a beautiful art. But what, what, what, what, what's the point in creating a male lead if he's feminine in every bit?

The story is a bit common for the first release but who knows? there might still be a twist to it in the next chapters. I am very much looking forward to it so I hope they can finish the volume soon. In addition, I think the graphics are well made and using cute bishies are a plus factor.
After the much awaited completion of the volume, I could say that I am very disappointed towards the end of the volume. The story seems to be lacking. They could at least add more story into it. I was expecting more story as to what happened with the meeting with the Grandfather?, the uncle, and the family? I was hoping for a comedy love story at the end of the volume. They should at least add more twist into the story. I REALLY DO HOPE for a 2nd volume for the continuation of the story. But nevertheless, the efforts made for the graphics are exemplary. Thanks.
