I'm sorry I loved it. Yes I hated the characters at some points, but you can't beat the overall story. I can't help but love it. Plus the spiced up parts where the other characters intervened.Ohhhh Damn I love Sakuya!

It was a little more easy flowing than the other stories she's written. I mean Gin was all "Forgive and forget" So there was nothing I found so annoying about his character. Kirara on the other hand was just so innocent at times. Of course that quickly faded (Kinda) She was okay near the end though.

I absolutely loved Hanamaki. And his ending line was priceless. He was just so funny at parts that O couldn't help but think he was awesome.

The only thing that got me is with her other stories she wraps everything up. Every little character comes back to do something drastic. Like in Hauo Airen. For those who've read, you know what I mean. The ending. But remember that one guy in chapter, I don't know, 13 or something. The one with the scar on his face. You know, that random guy who swore revenge on Gin. I was seriously freaking about when that would come back and bite this love story in the ass. And when it came to the last chapter, oh wow. I'm just glad it's over. (In a good way)

If you love Shinjo Mayu's work you might was well read this one. I hope I didn't give anything away. If so I am servilely sorry. I don't mean to.

I liked the end, and that's the most important part of the story.

Lovely, cute and very touching. I love how this is a type of prelude to Kaikan Phrase, you get to see Sakuya and Aine years after and thriving with their love. XD
Gin is so very sweet and cute, just as Kaikan Phrase was worth all the time it took to read it, so is Love Celeb. Though the characters are sex-crazed it didn't seem too obsessive because there was always a reason behind it and the way Gin was lusting after Kirara since the first volume was hilarious. A wolf in sheep's clothing, and a delectable bunny. XD I don't consider this one of her downfalls, but rather one of her best works, because it's so cute and lovely.

the plot was pretty interesting and the character were individual in their own ways however im not happy with the amount of sex in it and yes i no it's by shinjo mayu but there is a limit when it comes to smut. when the plot is almost totally taken over by sexual advances it isn't good. still, its the same with this mangaka...

It was funny and intresting in the first few volumes, but its been down hill since she started getting sexually pushed towards other guys.

This manga is no different than 100% perfect girl.

Sensual Phrase is a far cry from this crap. It has better cliche drama.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I've read some of Shinjo Mayu's works before and I usually never liked them because of the raping/stupid leading heroine. In this one, although there is the whole "I'M GIN AND I'M A VIRGIN KILLER AND I WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH YOU" part, it seemed less like rape to me, which always annoyed me in her other mangas, and more like they actually liked each other. Something I thought was kinda weird was the fact that the side characters were in-and-out in a few chapters and then you never see them again. Well, except for the manager at the end. I mean does anyone even remember Kouki? (I think that was his name at least :p ) Overall, there were some parts that I had to push myself through to get to the end, but I liked this one better than her other works because:

1. It was more love than rape (I mean Shinjo-san even refrained from them having sex for the first couple volumes!!!! There were still some "o.O" scenes though if you know what I'm saying).
2. Gin was SUPER CUTE! He was obsessed with her and totally in love!
3. If for no other reason, just read this to look at Chibi Gin. I'M NOT JOKING IT IS THE CUTEST THING EVER!

--Just as a side note: "Would I read this again?" Probably not, but it was an interesting read if you ignore all of the ridiculous information (like having sex to get a job in the show biz, the stock market thing with uhh what's-his-name? Takano?, and one HIGH SCHOOL guy controlling all of Japan). Lol, I kinda have conflicting feelings now that I'm looking back on everything...

Look, after readin Haou Airen, i wasn't sure if i cud trust SHINJO again with another of her mangas (also read Sensual Phrase which was probably the one with a little less sex than Love Celeb since it had music in it too & Love Strip -- useless, no good for sex education manga that makes those swoon if your looking for geeky-sex girls and horny jocks).

When i read Haou Airen, i was like, "Oh what a surprise, sex on the first chapter although its not finished,"
Then "Oh, rape by random guys looking at her private parts, fabulous,"
With marfia gangs and sex addicts, it was terrible although yea yea, the romance was something unusual but pretty strong and i did cry when the damn guy got killd before his wedding, i mean i'd be a freakn heartless chick if i didn't.

LOVE Celeb is something that you shud expect has sex, sex for fame, sexual abuse from OWN manager, sex bought from diamonds and oh, did i mention sex?

What im saing is there are some people who like this manga nad i respect your taste in smut, i prefer some smut as a regular intake in my manga too, but there are some mangas which are so unrealistic, with so much sex, i sometimes even wonder how this thing gets through the first 20 percent of ratings.
Look, i accpet that they labelled this as SMUT and i knew from the beginning that there will be some sort of sexual intercourse but give me a break, some of SHINJO's works are becoming disgusting and so unbelievable that i can't stick to read the finals of Sensual Phrase (although im having a feeling its gonna end soon becoz im past where he is marrying her).

Anyway read this manga if you want because i guess things depend on what people like in their mangas, but im just saying, it wasn't terrific so i giv it a very generous 5.

This is one of the worst mangas I've ever read, and that's saying a lot. bigrazz The story was uninteresting and the characters stupid. Many of the posts below have already given lots of reasons why to stay away from this terrible manga, so I'm not gonna list them myself.

But really, don't read this, there'r so many better series.

Seriously, I only read this because the art was good.
The guys keep saying they love the girls but all they do is sex, and sex, and well pretty much sex... Its like the whole world is all about sex
I dont even get why the main character from Haou Airen was there.

only good from the manga is the art but the female protagonist don't get me started on how stupid and retarded Shinjo Mayu made her out to be...started on vol 1 to vol 3 then skipped to the end it was getting REALLY dumb a big disappointment for Shinjo Mayu

seriously it's not worth the time and effort you'll REGRET it i'm warning you or if it's your kind of manga then i'm wrong

It's bad. After reading some of her previous works, I have to say I don't know what I expected from this one. I think it was all hope that Shinjo Mayu-sensei would change her usual ways and... break out of her shell. Oh, boy, was I wrong.

I dropped this one faster than a hot potato for a few reasons:

1) The girl was just plain stupid. Think Haou Airen. Remember her? Yeah, they're competeing for the title of Most Stupid Protagonist Ever.

2) This manga scares any female wanting to go into show biz, period. (I have to use my body to make a song?! What?! Where did the talent searchers go~~)

3) Rape is so glorified in here it's sickening. Again, think Haou Airen in the beginning. If you catch my drift, you catch my drift.

4) I just wanted to slam my head into a brick wall. It irks me when the female protagonist wasn't ever noticed by any guy before, but when she dates main hot guy over here, man, the boys just start going insane! It's a palooza to see who can get her body first, no aftermath involved. And, of course, usually male saves her at the most crucial of moments, so no worries there.

Every thing else Hermit-chan, vampiremaddy, InLibrisLibertas and surabhi147 have gone over; in fact, I probably have gone the points they already listed, but if you haven't dropped / walked the other way at those few comments, I might as well break it down again.

You know something's wrong with it when more than 5 people are listing the same problems over and over again.

Gave it a 2 for the art, Shinjou Mayu-sensei does draw some hot characters and some okay-looking women; also, I fell in love with chibi Gin, he was insanely cute. =D
