High school is difficult for most kids. But for Kayano, a shy girl whose single mother seems to work all the time, it's even worse than usual. She's so afraid of drawing attention to herself that she can't tell the handsome Kamijo how much she loves him until one day she finally gets up the courage to write him a letter confessing her feelings...

When she goes to give him the letter all her plans go awry. She's given the letter to the wrong person! Accidentally, she's given her love letter to Takeru Edogawa who just so happens to be the school principal's son, head of the delinquents and the notorious "Prince of Attraction"! To Kayano, he seems like Satan himself. Not only is he devilishly handsome, but he seems to take the utmost pleasure in making her suffer. Things only get more interesting when Kayano's mother comes home one day and announces she's getting married again --- To principal Edogawa! What will Kayano do when she has to live with this devil 24/7? How will she cope with her literal "Hell on Earth"?

This series has been adapted to Chinese live action drama under the name "Devil Beside you", starring Mike He, Rainie Yang and Kingone Wang.

Typical shoujo manga about a couple that happen to be step-siblings

err, so two teenagers, the girl older a year or so, become brother in sister. They hide their relationship, because of it, but in the end (after they sleep together), the parents don?t really care. It had too much drama. One problem after another. And they took all of it so seriously. meh. Melodrama.

I actually liked the art. People don?t like it, but I think it was good, because it was original. The clothes of people were interesting, and I even liked the faces. It looked kinda strange, but still not bad.

As usually, the main pair were melodramatic idiots. They were always like "oh, we can't be together, for we are siblings", "oh, we can't be together cause you have a fiancé already". I liked more their friends, but, sadly, there weren?t any chapters dedicated to them. Just appearances in the main story. What is so wrong, because the manga had 11 volumes. Is it so hard to make some extra chapter or two about someone other than the main character? Apparently yes.

Well, it wasn?t really bad. But after a while I got annoyed with the problems. they were also cliché. they weren?t happy together. I don?t even think they got time for a date or something without drama.

the whole point of a manga is the art and plot yes.. we know... i can go with the horrible art sometimes but the plot must be good. but omg this one killed me i tried to ignore it but its so dawm annoying.. okay dont judge base on art . i stopped at chapter 20 and jumped to the finale it was dragging getting boring and i saw the drama. sorry for the bad critique but its my opinion..wasted my dawm time reading this. it kinda felt like torture

It's good smile wouldn't say GREAT but it's good, it hooks you till the end just to see how it goes, but I wouldn't re-read it again. I thought the duration was perfect if it were any longer I would have stopped. I was really hooked by the first chapter and what kind of manga I thought It would be, but as it goes it gets really predictable but I kept reading it. I also didn't like how much the heroine cried in the later chapter it's just...I don't know too shoujo! The art is gorgeous I love how Takeru's hairstyle changes and how his style is drawn really intricate very detailed on his accessories. Well, that's about it really. Anyway I really recommend this manga I thought it was a good read wink

Decent plot, reminds me of kanekaro only much lighter in tone. But this isnt really a story i would want to keep rereading. Gorgeous artwork though.

And the hair !! Just gorgeous! Hahahahaha.

If you read it you'd FPART: "Laugh for me" "but I can't laugh from nowhere..." "you laughed with yuu-kun" "ok..." and she 'smiles for him and everything's great <3 ;D!

I loved the atwork! It was very unique and different from what you usually see in shoujo manga. I liked the story, although it is true that Kayano cries too much.
I think Akuma de sourou is worth reading at least once. I've read it already thrice, so I recommend it<3

I really liked this story quite a bit. However, eventually Kayano got on my nerves for crying over every single little thing.

A beautiful, sortive indie tale.
The modern uptake, and the general image were enjoyable.
I loves Haru and Kayano's relationship. So kawaii!
Only Takanashi-sama could make a story fit with it's words so well.

you can really feel takeru's and kayano's love for each other. their relations to each other get a bit confusing later, but that just made me disregard their whole step-siblings thing.
the art turns out beautiful by the end, so that's a plus. i just have to comment on their fashion sense, though. it's a lil weird. :0 but i wouldn't mind if ppl in america actually made the jewelry that takeru wore.
a happily ever after story, if ur a phobe.
