this manga took me by surprise. dont be fooled by the last 2 comments. when it starts off ur like ''ok normal good shounen manga'' but then just like its title it comes alive and totally evolves into something grand. one of my top favorites. do yourself a favor and read this
waste of my time
I can not believe that I went and read so much of the story. I quickly realized that the artwork is sub-par but the other problems have to do with the story itself. While I have to admit that the quality of the story is high, the feeling of the manga is the same that you get from death note and other such very dark well written pieces. Not worth reading unless you like dark and depressing and evil. A very ugly type of story that delves deep into the worst of human nature.
hated the main dude
I can't believe this manga got a 8.8 rating damn. Oh well i actually didn't like this manga because it feautres you typical hero who still believes in a friend that actually tried to kill him and also kidnaps his other best friend--that girl. After reading naruto, i just coudn't handle going over that frustration again. Yes the villains are interesting but you are not supposed to root for the villains, you are supposed to root for the hero and so hero's character has to be good and unique and it just isn't. I read 30 chapters of this and just gave up because of this dude. Also the hero's allies generally do not die and that is frustrating. Other than the hero's character this manga is ok i guess. Art is good and plot is ok though cliche at times but cliches work sometimes so i don't mind. Others might like this more if they like heroes who are fully good and naieve but i don't.
Fun to Read
The manga had a great start with brilliant character development. The plot is great though it was a little more shallow after the first arc. This manga is definitely worth reading.
Freakin addicting, it makes me pissed. >:|
I have too much homework and because of this (freakin addicting) manga now I have to be up till 3am; great. Anyway, I came across this manga 4 hours ago, couldn't stop reading, neglected my tremendous amount of homework, and finished up to volume 18 already. thats all imma say since im in a hurry. hope it was useful. oh, and usually i dont read manga like this, or with this kind of art but im addicted. Word of advice: Make sure you aren't busy, or I gaurantee you won't get anything done-__-
I like the story until 1st arc finish... After taisuke's gone and found out again, the story seem less attractive. And anyways, the artwork is the one i trully admire. For characters, i don't really like the taisuke's character... sometimes he could be a dumb. He remainds me of naruto, but naruto's better..
I was reading this, and i was wondering to myself why i was reading it. Something about this manga made me finish up to vol 16 in 1 day. I thought about how stupid it was with all of the brainwashing and insanity. I didnt really like the plot and the antagonist was gay. Probably the only thing i kept looking forward to was the relationship between Taisuke and Nami. Im a sucker for romance.
Dunno why i liked it when i hated everything about it. Weird.
Story = 10 Art = 9.7 Characters = 9
Well... the story developts really well and I'm against comments that say the plot is clichê. No, the mangaka has used some elements already used so many times in storys but he has changed them to shape the story in his way. We can use the fairytales for an exemple. Once upon a time a prince... to typical. What can we do to make it original? Well... the Prince will aparently be the heroe but in the end we will discover he is actually the villain behind the "curtains". It's more original isn't it? The mangaka story was also made in this style. I have no critics (that's why I give it a 10). The manga isn't repetitive and fluids very well I must say... The art has beganning with some "defects" principally in the Taisuki case, almost unsightly. But again life isn't esthetic. When the story pogress (I would say volume 3 / 4 if I still remenber...) The art was better and almost perfect fit the story. The part that I think failed was the charactes. Nothing to serious) disagreeing with a comment bellow the villains where better developted. They have interesting and original characters. If it wasn't because of that I would probably give 10 to the story and the rank would ingrese. Sadly it isn't. The three main heroes (even thought they aren't as godd as the villains) aren't bad at all. Take Yuta as a example. The main characters grow with us even thought I think with so much better characters on this story why doesn the author have to choose for main heroe him? The inocent type but that loves his friends and that belive one of the villains is still his friend isn't my type. But again. he grow with us and I don't think it was there he has failed. It was on the second arc on the Tezuka Family. Comparing them with the first arc villains they where no good. I would give them a 7 and (like I think I said below) I would give to the first arc villains a 10. This would give a 8.5 if there wasn't some other elements like main characters, other less important characters like the reporters and the second arc villains (army, souls...). This will give a 9. The other mistake I found in this was the deaths. There was almost artificial (until what I read) how the heroes or "simpathic people" never die and the other not. I know the story doesn't divide between bad and good people, even the bad has a sad story or something that make use like them but the heroes and the characters that obviously has never done nothing much bad don't die. In a war the two sides have to be hurt. Other than that is a great story.

The series has a promising start. The suicide premise was rather original and interesting. As the story progressed, it became the typical journey found in most shounen series, but it was still entertaining to see the unique powers, history, and trauma of each of the heroes and villains.
Now that the first arc has ended, the story isn't as entertaining. There's a ton of new heroes and villains but not enough background about them to get a good sense of their personalities, histories, and goals to keep me interested.

ugh...the story at the beginning are sooOOO~~ typical,a no0b wimp get a Great Power then act like he's the boss,forgetting his friend who always protect him and kidnap the girl....and the hero go on a journey to find them...i've seen a few manga that the story like this in..
but what i didn't like is the hero's/heroine are soo~ Ordinary...meanwhile the enemy have 2 interesting Character such as Kanon and the guy whos power is Bubble(forget his name,tho)....ugh the artist really can drawn a pretty character, till chapter 13,i've only found Kanon that are pretty interesting thought....
and this manga has alot of pages each chapter...v.V way to go hehe~~
