Description
Popular high school student Suwa Daisuke has no interest in dating newcomer Aikawa Hinako, a quiet loner. That's because she recoiled from his flirtatious touch, and he took it as a personal affront. Daisuke informs one of his buddies that he wouldn't date her, not knowing Hinako was listening. Daisuke's attitude changes after he accidentally hears her confession in an abandoned church; she's been sexually abused by her stepfather and has given up a child for adoption. His former annoyance turns to compassion and concern. Hinako is unaware that he knows her terrible secret. Believing him to have no romantic interest, she becomes more relaxed and comfortable in his company. Their relationship faces a lot of obstacles, including jealous classmates.

I didn't expect too much out of this at first, but in the end, I really enjoyed it!

My only critique that there were certain parts (mostly near the beginning) that came out as rather unrealistic or vague.

However, the art was beautifully drawn and the story line, which was very original, made my heart cringe (in a good way) at certain parts.

The manga-ka had put quite a bit of thought into the ending, which was, (despite the fact that it was highly unsatisfying according to some readers,) quite realistic in a sense that made it stray away from generic romance manga endings.
I would recommend this manga to any hopeless romantics out there who are mature enough to handle this type of tragedy smile

It's just too good, too sad. The plot is amazing. I was too f***ed up with this story and I ended up in despair myself. For all ecchi and hentai fans out there, this is a recommendable manga for you to read and to reflect back and understand the feeling of girls you wish to mess with.

I liked the story. I always fall for the helpless girls. It was an interesting read for a Saturday night. I was shocked because I hadn't read the summery so...yeah. It definitely grabbed my attention, in a good way. Some of the characters were adorable and funny, but then some were annoying *cough cough Kazuki cough* Excuse me. Anywho I think I would recommend it to someone...If they didn't know it was me recommending it. Not that I'm embarassed or anything. I just... never mind. You ,the one reading this comment, should read the first chapter and see how it goes. Then come back and leave a comment of your own.

This story really rather... just well I guess it made me think what I could've done better. About two years ago I was really like this girl who when she was 14 was raped and ended up getting an abortion. She had quite a few scars from her past like she never wanted to get married because she knew so many failed marriages. It was one major conflict we had considering Marriage had actually been something I had been looking forward for my whole life.

We just ended up going seperate ways and I still have lingering feelings for her and this manga just made me thinking of her more and kinda delved me into a little depression...

Anyways... with you people that are like 'oh the ending where they know they're going to end up going seperate ways and are just together til the other finds someone better for them sucks!' Well... It's something you need to know about love, they truly loved each other to the point that they were ready for when, or well if, they ever found someone that was better for the other they would be fine with that, because the other's happiness is the thing that they truly cared about.

The art is lovely and the plot is touching. The ending is a bit abrupt, but it has a sense of realism. Certainly a unique story that deals well with its mature subject matter.

I thought there would be a lot more to this then there was. I dont know what I was expecting but I had to finish it.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
I think I was hoping for a little more romance and more of a connection. Not a 'I'll pass her to the next guy who is more emotionally mature then I am when I find him.'
I'm sorry but that was bull

I remember to have read this manga just by chance, but what I found was a very emotional manga (well I guess because of the rape issues) and how Aikawa overcomes her situation is just good.
Very recomended

It was alright, but the end was crap. I was really against the last two pages.

The main story though, was very good. I enjoyed the realistic struggle, but again the ending is just a big turn off. I really can't get over it. After all this conflict - Why would they even question their relationship?! Not only that, but after the secret had been spilled to about three people she just started screaming about it. After awhile it seemed less of a big deal.

A difficult subject with parts that made me say... definitely manga... but mostly I cried, enjoyed the story and saw life amongst the pages. I didn't like the opening so much, but by the time the end came I found I enjoyed the ride immensely. I, unlike others, enjoyed the ending and felt it was what those particular characters would have thought. I myself have thought such things, so I can understand.
There were characters that I thought could have been left out, but then there are people in my life I want left out. There are always people in life that make either a negative impact or float around the edges. These characters in this story, made this story more believable because they did float on the edges.
All in all, I will probably read this again, and I don't read many things a second time.
