I'm not giving full mark, not because of some lack from the author but because the protagonists are soooo traditional : a good but annoying bride doing everything she can for her important husband. Ughh I hate that... I prefer people breaking habits .
i like it :)
i lovee this josei manga i love the story line and its not like thoose usual josei married life that goes like 'hate =>love =>manga finished' no, the manga shows much more and what a woman faces in her own story i looove it and i loooove hakuto i'd love to grab him for a hubby xx
so fed up with the yelling stuff.
Crybaby Chiwa who cry more often plus the fights and shouting and the slap she received from her husband twice...
Forget all those things above and this manga would fine enough with 5 volumes.
okay ive just read chapter 6 so im not gonna spoil anything.but i'm sensing drama... anyways i love this manga..it usually takes two full volumes for me to make up my mind about a manga but i've been hooked to this story since chapter 1. so do read it!it's not all smut either there's a story behind it. love love this manga ! ^^

I was expecting a Josei manga, but what I got was more or less a shoujo romance. Just replace the setting in a high school with a rich boy getting engaged to a normal girl and its basically the same. Even the plot structure and characterizations are no different.
I would re-read it any time again.
It's a Shoujo wrapped in a Josei costume. The drama and the flow of events is Shoujo. The setting is Josei. The characters are a mix.
Your average office lady is persuaded into the marriage, for the benefits of both, to an ambitious business man who has an aloof character and poor interpersonal skills. The story evolves around their growing relationship and the life goal of him. The manga has a proper end. Probably not satisfying for everybody completely but also nothing surprising.
I totally adored the drawing style (9/10). Very pleasantly to look at with the typical comic effects for emotions. It was my greatest entertainment about this manga and kept me wanting to see more and more. Also when only slowly it was nice to watch how Hokuto, the husband, developed. Chiwa the wife turned more and more into a cry baby. I can't stand that but she was often just so sweet that I overlooked it. Except for that emotional increase she was the same at the end as at the beginning - while he changed quite a lot but has still a long way to go.
The drama is nothing too dramatic and some events seem too convenient and cliche. The comedy is not exaggerated and the smut is rare.

Now Shoujo or Josei manga to me are all about marriage, it is either a couple at the end decided to ortalk about getting married right after they graduate from high school or it's an arranged marriage, this is the latter.
Well well, there was a whole lot of comedy in this. What is this, why are these two people soooo amusing? ^_^ I love it when the two bicker or have couple conversations, like asking the other, "are you ok?" and sort. Just makes me crack a smile all the time.

Hee, wish for another chapter about her being pregnant, getting a baby, both of them looking after the baby, see the kid growing older, etc...that would be so nice, ahh~~~
If it wasn't so long I would've given it 10, but somewhere in the middle of it I was kinda bored.. I personally don't like very long mangas that are long for no reason. The story was very good at first, but for me it kept deteriorating. I anticipated the sex for long (which is good and I like it that way) but when the sex parts finally came, they didn't end. every chapter just had to end with a sex scene and I find no purpose in that ^^" To me it felt like "whoa wayyy too much smut". I know, I'm crazy! there's no such thing as "too much smut", but these are my feeling for this one. All in all I recommend reading it and at times just skipping the idle parts
It's interesting how people keep on commenting about certain scenes regarding Hokuto's treatment of Chiwa, but for me I was more aware of Chiwa's personality.
She just cries too much for me. It's like 3 out of 4 chapters she cries. Also, I don't think she has much backbone, despite the many shows of strength we've seen in her. I'm not sure if she's meant to be this "complex" character or if her character is just undeveloped.
In contrast, I was amazed with Hokuto's growth as a character. I think this is the reason I stuck until the end, along with the fact the ending wasn't rushed at all (even though there were a lot of stumbles in the middle of the series, but meh).
