Ouke no Monshou is wonderful, but that Vietnamese version of the Esthetique is awful. They should have catch the original Ouke no Monshou to translate.

If this is a good manga, I can't tell. The translation is so god awful, it's barely understandable. I don't believe even an editor could help here... they must have chosen some words at random and stuck them in the middle of sentences. I tried, really I tried, to get through some portion of this, and if it's ever translated from Engrish to English, I might try again.

I agree with the other comments...this is a VERY repetitive and i kept on reading becos some part of me just want to see Memphis be nicer and more mature...like that's gonna ever happen...sigh...
But by now we should know the ending. Carol gets pregnant, gives birth and Memphis dies when his son is only 2. Carol decides to go back to the future and left her child with the prime minister of Egypt and jumps into the Nile. In the future, one Memphis breathed his last, Ryan Lead, Carol's eldest brother(who is adopted by the way) suddenly gets all the memories of Memophis during his days in ancient Egypt. Turns out he's Memphis' reincarnation. Which probably explains why he could go back in time to the desert and shoot the bullets into Prince Ishmin. Carol returns, finds out, they are both happy and they live happily ever after. The End. And now i'll just wait for the final chapter, with this final scene. Lol.

I did like it back when I was in elementary. Now it's just way too draggy and repetitive. The art is really ugly too. It gets confusing sometimes. I wouldn't recommend it.

in my country they used to split the book to shorter volumes and I believe I managed to read to vol 70-ish or something ( i know there are only 53 original ones). This series is OVERLY repetitive. I absolutely loved the first bit but as it goes on the plot becomes draggy and the art quality gets worse. I don't understand why is it still on going, the author should just put an end to it and get on with life.

i took one look at the no of volume and went omg.....i bet at some point the story will get draggy so the number of vol is already a big turn off(and its STILL ongoing!!)....but maybe i'll try(?) to read it lol XD

Well, I'm trying to follow this up with brazillian scans & translations. I was told the scans from Esthétique follow some non-official version of the manga, so I really can't take reading it like that. There are too many cuts from the original raws and so on. Also, it's a loooong story to go, so I can't really give an honest opinion when I never read it all, but I must say that I really want to see how it goes. Also, I don't want to talk bad about the work of others, so I must say thank you for all those out there trying to bring this project foward. I just can't go on when I know the story has been hurt. I'm writing here to show my desire to read better raws, but it's hard to find someone willing to go all the way... so that's it! I'm sorry everyone! ^^'''

As for what I already saw, I think it's a story with great potential. I'm a fan of history, I'm a fan of Egypt's ancient history, and I can't help but want more of it. Thanks! =)

This manga had a lot of potential, I felt the translations were a bit confusing and the art was a bit dated too. I just wish the manga was much shorter than it is now. Still it is somewhat decent, that is if you don't mind the repetitive storyline.

I read this manga when I was very small. Back then it seemed interesting so I managed to get to the lastest volume. Looking back on it now, I feel that this manga isn't all that. The first few volumes are okay. But later on, the story develops becomes VERY repetitive and VERY dull.
It's been 10 years since I read it and this manga still isn't completed yet. The mangaka must be running seriously low on ideas. My guess is that however things turn out, the main characters will live happily ever after anyway.
If anyone has read Anatolia Story, you'll notice that there's a similarity in the storyline of both mangas. But Anatolia is WAY better than Ouke no Monshou.

I have only read the first few volumes, and there are apperantly 52 volumes (this manga has been ongoing for 32 years!!!!) The parts that I did read where interesting, however, don't expect twists and a fresh story since the manga has been going on for so long, parts are bound to repeat. But if you do have some free time,give this a try, it will keep you occupied for a few years....
