Very relatable

Orange is all about regrets and young love, and because these are two very universal things, it's really easy to get sucked into the characters' lives. Orange's strength is that it's incredibly relatable and engaging. Naho, the protagonist, is just a normal girl, and while some of her actions may have you pulling your hair out, it's easy to sympathize with her because, under the same circumstances, you'd probably act similarly. The mangaka does a really good job of pumping Orange to the brim with emotion, and because the characters are all so gosh-darned relatable, it makes it very easy to feel the pain and the happiness that they go through.
Orange is a real gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's a fan of romance.

A Story With Tears And Joy~

If there is anything I can most definitely say, that is that this story is one you can't escape from without any deep thoughts and feelings attached to it, so much that you may even be able to relate yourself to it. My feelings and opinions on this story will and most likely may not sound as "well-said" or "mature" enough to truly convey what I initially intended to say, but I just can't seem to ignore commenting on here because I feel my deep feelings about this story are too much to bear on my own. If you do however read my comment, thank you. (My comment below isn't anything all too deep or special;; It's just my honest thoughts, that's all.) I won't bother too much with the plot of this story; I'll just go straight to the story's theme and message in depth but with my own feelings/thoughts mixed in, so it may not sound all that great...BUT the story is, so go read it!!! (I hid my opinions and thoughts as a spoiler just in case I may have said too much, but feel free to read it! ♥)

But first and foremost (before you see the long blocks of text below, haha), I recommend this story to ANYONE who's looking forward to reading something that has a sweet & sour taste to reality and life. This story is definitely filled with emotional spreads where you'll just want to cry both tears of joy and sorrow for Naho and Kakeru, and even their friends too. It's definitely something you'll tie yourself into and a series you won't regret having read, so please give it a shot and support the mangaka! ♥

And off with my thoughts/opinions:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The story starts off with a letter that leads into the protagonist's past, present and future. From there, the story continues with two different time periods in which dictate the life of the protagonist as she interacts with her friends. Of her friends, most importantly her life-long crush is whom she deeply has feelings and regrets for based on her actions from her life ten years ago, which is being re-lived again by the protagonist (you'll know what I mean when you read the first chapter).
Obviously it's a shoujo-based manga, but mainly this story has something deeper within its plot and characters, something that I can't properly explain (and I apologize for that), but within that lies the message that truly struck me with such emotion (to the point that I honestly cried in every single chapter as the story and characters continued to progress), and part of @UsoSora's comment is what I'm trying to elaborate on, but with my own feelings attached into it.

It's not only the fact that while being given the chance to change your past for the hopes of erasing your regrets from your previous life that makes this story interesting and intriguing. The fact that these characters, who are a strong, loyal group of friends, are willing to put themselves out there to be truly helpful and caring for one another adds up to the true beauty of what is hard to find in our society today, and that is true friendship (in my opinion). And I can honestly say that for each of Naho's friends to sacrifice their time and feelings for the sake of Naho and Kakeru's relationship really emphasizes the emotional and precious relationship between them two and their beloved friends. And it just makes me so happy to know they're together because for Naho to eventually step out of her shell and truly express what she regretted not having done so really shows how committed and regretted she was, and along with such amazing friends, what more could she not be capable of doing? It is however painful at the same time because in between the story it shows the future Naho and her deepest regrets of what she did ten years ago, and it's so unfortunate that with such strong feelings she couldn't express herself honestly during that time. She totally deserves to have Kakeru marrying her, but it's also a sweet & sour twist to the story because in the future Naho, she ended up marrying Suwa, the guy who loved her for so long and sacrificed even his feelings just for the sake of their happiness. It's a lot to explain, but you'll know what I mean as you go on reading it. And with the way how I say "future Naho" and "younger Naho", I'm trying to identify them apart because future Naho is the 26-year-old while younger Naho is the currently younger Naho we see trying to follow up with the letter and trying so desperately change Kakeru's life with every chance and opportunity she's got.

Oh gawsh, the younger Naho that's in junior high right now.... I sure hope she ends up successfully changing those regrets and ends up with Kakeru. Even if her future Naho couldn't end up with Kakeru, as long as younger Naho can at least grant her future Naho's wishes in her place, she can truly deepen her bonds with both her crush, friends, and most of all, herself through strong commitment and sacrifice, and that's what deepens the story even more.
"Just because you can't change time and its past, present and future doesn't mean you can't change the person and people who lived during that time." ---> That, I think is the message that somewhat sums up my point, though I know my use of words kind of screwed over my original intentions, but whatever. Anyways, from there, [current] younger Naho may not be able to change her future Naho's past, but if she works hard to change her own present, she may end up creating a happy future, one that the both future Naho and younger Naho would have truly wished for.

Something we're all striving to ...

"If the sky were to suddenly open up, there would be no law, there would be no rule. There would only be you and your memories."

I believe this manga is more than a typical shoujo drama and tragedy, with the influence of supernatural and infusion of romance in it. It's much more than that, for certain.

The moment the letter was introduced to the story, I knew something deeper and more complicated is there to come, and it did.
This story converges to a semi-serious piece of literature work worth of a careful analysis. It has many mystical points, many allusions, allegorical lines and what's most important, it gives you a sensation of changing your feelings and expressions very rapidly, but with sense. It makes you think about the human, foremost mortal yearn for overreaching, breaking the boundaries and changing the things that are eating you and making you regret it for being just a weak human being, overpowered by its own cowardice and fear. But then, you can always try to overcome yourself do better.

If someone needs to read a story that won't give you a hard time, nor fun ride either, but instead open the door of an ordinary life from this dimension and stepping into another one, breaking through the paradox of phenomenon called time, and being given a chance to meddle with its segments called past, present and future, this manga is the right one to read.

Have a tumbling journey! : )

I am so far really enjoying this series, it's not your typical shojo, I must admit. The story adds a supernatural aspect in the main character receiving a letter from the future, detailing the worries of her future self.

I liked the chracterisation of the heroine, she can be undecisive, but she still turns out to be really likable. The pacing is also really good, not too slow nor rushed, and I liked how
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the story skips from present to past. I was confused about this aspect but the mangaka introduced the idea of a parallel universe, which I found was more appropriate. The only reason that this story doesn't get a 10 from me is because the main guy seems so distant, and I couldn't really connect with him, nor understand his thoughts :/

But yeah, this is a manga I'd definitely continue to follow and recommend to others.

I don't know how i feel about this manga because Im not sure where yet it's heading. I don't know if it's suppose to be a romance, or more about friendship. It could have a happy, tragic, or even an open ending. I think it's kind of odd she harbors so much regret for not confessing to a guy who she only knew for a short period over 10 years ago. Willing to take a chance on changing her present life by trying to change the past. If she accomplishes her goal then wouldn't her child and marriage disappear?

Her shyness is a little over the top at times. She's afraid to say almost anything to him. Anyway, it's an interesting manga, but I think it would be better to read from start to finish in one shot.

One of the most novel-like shoujo

Good stuff. Great art - shoujo style not not the typical really big eyes and mouth type that turns me off. The story is interesting and keeps you intrigued. The story opens itself up to so many time paradoxes but it's good to forget about that.

The story is well narrated and it's paced in a way that even the most mundane and minute details seem interesting in the way that the relationship with Kakeru develops. I have to say this is the most "graphic novel" type of shoujo manga I've read, and I mean that as a compliment.

It works well with the plot and it conveys emotions very effectively.
