okay, i was wrong. movie was waaay better and lighter than the atmosphere of the manga. it seemed everything was just messed up with their relationship to the point I forgot that they're just 16 years old. I feel like everything was waaay to fast and I cant seem to catch up with the events. One thing is for sure, I don't want this kind of relationship ever to happen to me. This is such a scary suicidal, painful love.

OMG! i just finished watching the movie since the two volume released so far of this manga really got me hooked up but who would have thought I'd really bawl my eyes out. I swear, my eyes are in serious condition from too much crying. I don't know and I dont want to imagine how much tears I'm going to cry out once I totally fall in love with the manga. The movie's very tragic and I assume the manga would have be waaay more tragic since it's longer and well character developed. I will still keep going to read this manga and if it gets very depressing, I think I'll stop. I don't want to remember how much I cried from the movie. sigh.

I don't know of I like this manga or not. I originally rated it a 10, but now that I'm re-reading it, I find it annoying. It's like the mangaka is purposely trying to pull at our heart strings, but instead, I'm just annoyed at the main characters. The Japanese high school drama in this is super clichéd! I got annoyed super fast, but for some reason, I can't bring myself to completely hate it...

Hmm honestly I don't really see why people hate Hiro (in the manga) so much. I don't think he's a jerk, rather, sometimes his failure to be completely responsible makes him a bit more of a realistic, fucked up 16-year-old. Well, actually sometimes he's a bit to nice too be a 16-year-old, because when Mika feel hopeless it's mostly her fault for not communicating (well, until later, when Hiro does fuck up, but hey, it's called an interesting plot), but they get better at overcoming it. I almost wished that Hiro would be the father of my child, ahahaha. But well, I'm not going to keep reading this, no time for a post-fiction depression.

Also, Hiro in the drama doesn't look like a realistic gyaru-o delinquent, what's with that?

I was never actually going to make an account on this website because really I never thought I had anything important to say, but then I came across this page about Koizora. I've seen the drama and part of the movie and was curious about the manga for it. From what I've read people don't seem to like it that much. plus most people who have yet to read this have only seen the movie. I do not know if the manga is any good and I do not plan to find out anytime soon. What I do know is that the movie is horrible if I had watch the movie before watching the drama I probably would have hated Koizora and tell people that the story is too sad and hiro is not all that great. but I luckily found the drama first. Its about 6 episodes long an hour each, but Its great, plus the actor that plays hiro is really cute!! I absolutely love hiro and was so pissed when in the movie hiro:



this does not happen in the drama thank god.

In the drama you can really see how much hiro cares about her and loves her. Yes their is still a whole lot of drama and sad stuff that happens, but if your willing to watch a tragic love story then please give the drama a try. Even though after watching this I just sat their staring at the screen crying, every time I think about this drama I feel my heart ache but i do smile. i really loved this drama you know. I was completely head over heels for hiro and still am in a way but please again I warn you stay away from the movie at all costs. just in case you want to check it out heres the link

I highly recommend this!! the drama version!!

Can't really agree with most of the comments here. Sure, I've seen the drama and I loved it. Now afterward, reading the manga, at least I understand WHY Hiro's being such an ass, so I can't hate him for it. He's got his own reasons and the only thing I'm looking forward to in this manga is how mika will find out about them and how she'll react. That's the only reason I even continue reading this. But apart from that, I think it's not too bad like most of you say, but I do admit it's a bit unrealistic.

This manga shouldn't have made... trying to adopt the novel... not even half of it is great... I watch the drama and the movie... it was amazingly done but the manga is such a dissapoint ever!!! the main girl is to naive.. super duper... I hate her and the guy is the worst ever... if you feel dissapoint with this manga watch the movie/drama you'll like it... if you read this you'll regret it!!

Hmm. The art isn't bad and the story is written pretty well, but it's not really the sort of story I enjoy. Looking at this work objectively, though—as a "true story," (whether or not it really is aside) it makes me worry about Japan's young people, what with their lifestyles and attitudes and the total lack of positive mature role models. Mika especially bothers me with all of her insecurities and self-blaming and the fact that there's no one really to support her and help her see that the various troubles aren't her "fault" at all. The conflict-resolutions usually come down to "Hiro loves me, so all is well" but Hiro himself is just another 16 year old kid.

I do think it's good that this work brings up difficult, "real-life" problems and tries to deal with them in a realistically positive way, but I still think there are some negative attitudes concerning the situations that aren't really addressed. I hope that makes sense.

It would be good if Koizora's genre would be seinen... rather than shoujo...

I don't like the manga :<

You have to be able to love tragedies if you want to read this. Mika gets hurt a lot throughout the manga and Hiro is responsible for most of it. But if that's not your cup of tea or your bowl of rice, then read something else. In the end this is a romance with a sad ending, while 90% of the theme of their romance is saddening as well.
