Oh man....
The 1st volume of this manga is actually only an introduction
U can see in the background somekind of sickness going around but the zombie thing only revealed on the last page of the volume! And zombie is supposed to be the plot of the story!
The story is progressing soooooo slowly, even after zombies are introduced. You also can find some Gantz feeling there as u witness people dying and other people are just watching and don't give a crap.
The final thing u might want to know is, the characters are FUGLY, it seems that the characters drawn to be realistic, but they're FUGLY. Sometimes u just wanna vomit when u see these characters, even those whom supposed to be beautiful are FUGLY
But the Idea and artwork (aside from the characters) are beautiful, and talking about realistic, the characters' thought are very realistic

Someone kept recomending this to me so i started reading it.... but this series is SOOO~~~~~~~~ bad at the beginig that i just rolled over and dropped reading it ..... then had to take a breather and after a week i started to read it again... to drop it again.... and after a month when i picked it up again it AT LAST started to get good... and kept me pinned up to it. And it's not that this psyhologigal stuff was bad or anything... it's just that the main charachter just kept pissing me off....

There is a level of sophistication and maturity in the storytelling that you rarely ever see in manga.
I would not be surprised if it was inspired by Shaun of the Dead but in my opnion that does not deminish the achievment of this manga.
I am one ovlume through as of writing this comment btw.

Hell this is one good manga, the beginning was very psychological, I thought it was one of those society-describing manga, but the sudden turn at the end of Volume 1 completely changed my mind, and everything made sense. It's very psychological and very addictive, a very well-thought and very well-paced horror manga, with deep characters, great, realistic art, it's a page turner.
I definitely want to see what will happen next.

A very well-done psychological horror story so far. There's lots of gruesome zombie violence, of course, but just as unsettling are the sometimes chapters at a time when the main character is dealing with his own personal demons. The art is clean, realistic, and quite detailed, and the pacing is ace. Copious two-page spreads used to great effect. I'm just waiting for Hideo to finally use that shotgun he's toting around!
