Addicting but...

This one definitely crosses the shounen-ai threshold. And there are quite a couple of intimate scenes to look forward to. I love the first 3 volumes, it definitely satiated my cravings with 10+ chapters to read at one shot.

However at the moment I feel that the mangaka seems to be dragging out some scenes - continually having (side) characters remind Haru/Ren how important they are for each other, but it seems like their relationship is taking baby steps towards growth/change.

At moments I can't shed the feeling that Haru is taking advantage of Ren and that their relationship isn't that healthy. The way Haru frets about people being around Ren, he has to realise that a true relationship isn't too much about possession, he needs to give space to Ren to grow up as well, and to forge more healthy relationships with people around him.

Hoping that it gets better; at the moment I still can't see their relationship growing into anything romantic yet. But at the same time I hope the mangaka doesn't drag things out either.

I totally agree with previous comment! After I read Super Lovers (weird name but to dummy like me it's easy to remember) it's almost impossible to find better. Love it.

Story is going forward slowly, but every chapter gives something to it's reader. Character desings are great, and I love their expressions. I simply can't find anything negative at Super Lovers.

If you haven't read it yet, read it now. It's more than worth it! .. Also sorry my bad english *A*

Ignore the comment below (haha, joking, or maybe not), but I feel like you didn't seriously give this manga a try or maybe you're just using the wrong words to describe your opinion. Yet who am I to judge, since this is your own opinion. Anyways...

I want to say that this manga is ridiculously wonderful, so good that now my expectations are so high and now it's so hard to find manga that reaches to what caters my attention. The art is amazing, it's nothing at all of what you'd find in typical 'screw and let's fall in love' yaoi manga, it's breathtaking and detailed - it can be beautiful and it can be adorable, and the characters are not at all shallow.

Super Lovers, despite its odd title name has a really well-developed plotline along with their characters, and the romance is really cute... It's slow, but well-paced. The age difference doesn't really bother much either, because while 'sexual activities' do show up, they won't be doing anything until 'Ren' is of legal age - because they really do consider that here, ... I also enjoy how light-hearted it is, how the siblings can accept their older brother's and their younger's awkward relationship (along with their friends and most of their acquaintances). It's nice reading something realistic, but at the same time refreshing and away from negative energy.

It's so warm and cute, I really adore it.

I dont understand why this manga has gotten so popular. Okay the art is very good but both the characters (seme and uke) are soooo shallow, I tried to read this for 2 times and always dropped it. The story line is so weak, not interesting in the least.
Dont waste your time reading this...

this manga makes me blush

even though there hasn't been any overt sex in it (yet). for all the teasing that made me rage in komatta, miyuki-sensei really made up for it in this manga, lol. haru and ren's relationship is filled with all the desperation and sweetness one could want from a good romantic bl story. like another commenter said, it's rare that the uke character wants the seme as ardently (or more) than the seme seemingly wants the uke. ren is desperate to express his non-brotherly feelings of love to haru in more ways than one while haru is trapped by his feelings of family over everything and keeping ren as the cute younger brother he must take care of.

anticipating the next chapters in tears of impatience! ;_;!

edit: I HAVE to take points off for all the amnesia nonsense. I get that Haru has a lot of traumas and he needs to get over them in order for the relationship to continue, but it reads so much like an old school kdrama LOL. At least we're getting somewhere now, BUT STILL.

So Addictive!

I like how the author portrayed Ren and Haru's life in Canada in the 1st chapter. Everything is drawn beautifully in this manga, and I can't really find any faults in it. The first chapter was so sweet, and I like it how everything changed so quickly, something which was so unpredictable happened.

Each chapter is so much fun to read, especially seeing the two brothers together. I like how this manga gives out a pleasant feeling, and sometimes it becomes bittersweet. They started off having a pretty much normal relationship, and it gradually evolved into something more. Even though there are only a few volumes, there have been much character development, something which is lacking in most mangas these days.

The author pays much attention to each characters, which makes all of them likeable. Ren and Haru's relationship is still a little odd, seeing as they love each other as brothers and lovers.
Note: This is not a manga where the 2 characters just have sex with each other in practically each chapter, nor is this a manga about a guy who is doing it with a kid (Ren looks a bit like one, but he's 15). I kinda had a different image on this manga before I read it because of the cover page. But it looks really good though!

Plus, everything is quite slow moving despite the first few chapters, but you'll find yourself appreciating every moment of it.
Read this manga and you'll get hooked up instantly

I admit that the title of this manga sort of scared me (Super Lovers sounds like a very kinky playful yaoi with a ton of sex and probably a very weird story, lol) and then the look of the uke, who looks like he's way young.
After reading it though, I really can't look at it as pseudo-shota (plus he is 15 - it's not real shota!) anymore, no matter how tiny Ren is!
He is very mature, real and doesn't come across as too young at all.
His short stature also isn't that big of a deal (at least so far in the manga) because it's not as extreme as other pseudo-shota works like Okane Ga Nai, ect.

Instead, this is a rather down-to-earth, realistic and sweet story of a guy with a brother complex an his 3 younger siblings.
The fact that Ren struggles so much with himself, figuring out his feelings and then trying to change their relationship from just brothers to more is done extremely well.
I love that the uke here actually wants to possess the seme as much as the seme wants the uke; their feelings are mutual!
Many yaoi mangas have rough semes forcing the uke, and then the uke just kind of going along with it thinking that must be love but in reality they only care that the seme kinda likes them.
It's soooo nice and refreshing to see an uke who desires the seme this much, makes moves, initiates kisses, worries about them and wants to make sure their feelings are mutual.

I'm glad I read this, can't wait for the following chapters and recommend this to anyone who is after a real story, lovable characters, a strong uke who tries hard not to be a child, and a slow-building romance.

Considering I'm a big fan of Abe sensei's "Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike!", it's not surprising that I love this work as well!

(If you haven't read "Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike!" and you don't mind a shonen ai relationship that does not go beyond teasing and kinda flirting, and especially if you want a long story - 26 volumes !!! - then READ THAT as well!!!!)

This manga is totally amazing.it's not shota since ren grows but it is wonderfully romantic and dynamic.there aren't many sex scenes and it's like shounen ai but I really love it.Remember for those who dislike shotacon it isn't shota.they wait 7 years before doing anything and ren is 15 and shota is 13 and below.
