one of the best

o my god i love this manga so much! it's one of the best josei i've come across. the drawing style to me is appealing also, although it may not be everyone's cup of tea. it's very character driven and each character has their own strengths and weaknesses that it gives an overall realistic feel. the romance in here is surprisingly subtle and definitely not the main focus of the story. the heroine of the story is admirable despite coming off as cliche in the first few chapters and she turns into a strong character with a lot of passion for her work that it's very inspirational for me as a reader. it's a really addicting manga and i always look forward to each scanlation.

Ashita no Ousama is like this for me:

Volume 1 .... Boooooring
Volume 2 .... Okay, things are starting to get interesting
Volume 3 .... Moving along nicely...
Volume 4 .... Alright, alright, you got me. I'm officially hooked.

For some reason I like the art. I guess it's because I have some interest in the longer faces and the Josei art style. This storyline is also thought provoking and it brings all of the passion that goes into acting and storytelling to the surface. All of the characters are incredibly strong people, including the main heroine (which is unusual for a manga like this). And the best part about this series is that it doesn't rely on bishonen, romance, or cheap gimmicks to be amazing.

Ending is rushed

Starts as a common girl who blossoms into a great scriptwriter. Her ability to take pressure from the outside and turns it into her energy is awesome. It may be an equivalent of the famous Glassmask imo. Saying that they both are ordinary people who don't know about their special talent and sometimes feeling that they don't have what it takes to be great talents. Maya in glassmask always felt Ayumi is better than her. As for Yuu, she thinks Azuma Rin is a genius. If you like this you may also want to try Cat Street. It kinda give similar vibe to Ashita no Ausama somehow... maybe in the way of characterization of the characters? Meaning that they work hard to accomplish something... maybe, I don't know, not sure....
The downside, the ending is kinda rush... so I have a mix feeling of reading this. The payoff isn't great enough to make me feel that: "okay, this is definitely worth all the time I spent to read it."

Reading the 23rd chapter now and I must say this manga is pretty addictive !
The art is not the best there is but it's enough to convey an attractive plot about deeply likeable characters that never cease to amaze.

For all those that like theater or at least its depiction in mangas this bring a new point of view to the genre : the director and script-writer.

It's one of my favourites. I like the protagonist and her increasing love for theater. And even if she realize that she likes Touya, it doesn't become the mayor theme on the story. That's quite refreshing.

Im really hoping for this to come out the way i obviously want it to, but i have the feeling its not going to. im just glad she's following something she has a talent for. Its a very fun manga. Its really more realistic than most of the other manga i read, maybe because the main character really seems like shes trying hard, and on her own without help to get what she wants. I like her.

ITS JUST SOOOO GOOD!!!! I dont even know why, but i find my self really addicted to this, even though i blew it off at first. I dont know what it is about it, maybe becuase its theater and i love theater too, but just really love this manga soo much.
