I've read up to V05. Though the ending was such a shock for me (read a spoiler) but it was certainly an interesting romance manga. Its my first gender bender manga. My heart was torn in between taking it as a yaoi or shoujo couple. Weird, but I'm dissappointed that the manga is licensed. Looks like I have to find solutions for more $$$$ as I am broke.

One of her better works...

Out of the titles by MIZUSHIRO Setona that I've read before, together with X-Day, this qualifies as one of her better works.

The psychological drama is extremely intriguing although the pacing does need some working on.

very good, and different in so many ways. If your looking for a unique concept of a story this would so qualify! The main lead is unusual, in that we remain unsure of whether he/ she is male or female (although the mangaka seemed to want to point towards the latter). I also have to admit, like with a previous reviewer, his/ her personality did get on my nerves occasionally, but not enough to completely despise him/ her either. she/ he genuinely is conflicted about what sex she/ he is, so it was interesting to have that element in it along with the supernatural.

All in all, I would recommend this to anybody, its a good read and very enoyable!

I really should not have started this one without being finished. I have to say from the beginning i despise the main lead(female?male?) "It" is too weak and cannot make up "It" mind about what path or whom to pick....i am going to try and keep reading and hopefully the chosen will be the male lead, his classmate and i hope his sister dies.....am i being too mean? Ah am just losing it with this manga but i guess that is what makes it great because you become engrossed in it. Am glad i continued though it seems that after volume 8 it's when it really gets good, nice ending too.

When I read the summary written for this manga, I got the impression of a normal shoujo with a lot of fanservice.. you know. The mention of the nightmare thing kinda turns me off.

But the cover page is rather nice I just felt I should sample it, at least one chapter. There, what a blunder! now I'm hooked and kinda haunted by the whole things going on in the manga. Really, it messes with your mind!

But I'll be alright (my mind is already rather messed up O.o). After all, this is what I like about some manga. You cannot stereotype it into any specific genre. And I love it when the manga include a little bit if everything. Romance, angst, shoujo, shounen-ai, mystery, tragedy, etc. It just gave more flavor to the whole thing, isn't it?

anyway, I'll recommend this manga to you who are in for the bumpy ride. There's definite ups and downs in this manga, and the nightmare is just one of it. Another distinctive point is characters development, where I get pulled in just to get to know them.

A D D I C T I V E! The story is told in a perfect pace, not too slow or too fast. It's always entertaining but the reader needs to be somewhat comfortable with shounen ai and shoujo ai...! It's like the TV series LOST, always asking questions, but not as frustrating!

Another one of Mizushiro-sensei's works with a beautiful story and characters.

Okay, first off, you have your main protaganist who is half male at the top and half female at the bottom. When I first picked this up and saw the summary on the back, I was all like, WTF?! That was something VERY different from manga I usually read.

There is also a lot of added genre's to the story than just shoujo. It leaves a whole lot of room for fandom and imagination. You have, horror, slight comedy, shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, and mystery. It's just...Wow. I read the first volume and was totally pulled in. You have no idea how much I wanted for the next volume to be realeased. Currently, I have the latest volume, which I plan to continue with each new release in the bookstores.

Protaganist/Mashiro: He/She is very reluctant when it comes to descisions. Mashiro has a huge complex of whether or not he's really female or male. The complex only worsens when Sou and Kureha come in the picture, fighting for his affections.

Sou: Calm, quiet, cool and hot guy. He's a ladies man and knows it, but doesn't exactly flaunt it. For some reason, he's in love with Mashiro and doesn't seem to think of him as a guy, but a girl. The guy's a whole mystery to me. All I know so far is that he has a sister-complex and wants Mashiro.

Kureha: She's petit and cute, like any other normal japanese girl. THe only thing is...she hates men. This is due to a family and personal incident. When she meets Mashiro, she finds out his secret and starts to get an attacthment to him, which then changes into a crush. She doesn't like Sou because she know when Mashiro is around him, he acts...different.

In short, the art is clean and beautiful (sensei has definately improved), story line is interesting and keeps you wanting more, and the characters are gorgeous, with a little of their own personality rather than the cliche' attributes of characters in other shoujo mangas. There's plenty of room to sympathize with them as well.

This manga is definately a must buy. I'm POSITIVE that i'm not wasting any of my money on it

This manga will not be for everybody. I am amazed that I am still reading it considering I am not a Yaoi/Yuri fan. While this manga is markedly listed as simply shoujo, there are elements that propel it into any number of genre. For starters, the lead character is intersexual. I think that's what you call it when your body is a contridiction to what you feel is inside. Not only is his soul not the same but his body is an entire mismatch. He has a male top half, flat chest, semi-muscular. However on the opposite end of the spectrum, he has a very definite female lower half. On top of that, he has a girlfriend. So does that mean he's a lesbian? No not quite. He also has a guy who insist on having him. So does that mean this is Yaoi and he is gay? Um no, not quite. You see the guy is persuing his female half as well is his girlfriend. So I guess this would be more shoujo-ai then yaoi in some instances. Lol. Looking like this yet @_@ Well, I sure as hell am, but you know for all the underlying themes of Yuri and Yaoi, which I don't normally like in manga, I can't put this one down.

However, not everyone will be able to sit comfortably through this story line. Non the less, if you want something that is very weird and very out there, but still offers the reader an element of romance, this is it. I mean aside form really wanting to know just what sex is he/she is, I am salso dying to know who he/she will choose in the end. Although I think I have a clue as to where his/her choice will be . T_T Yeah, I'm rooting for the losing team.
Anyways, the art is not the bes,t but it serves it purpose in confusing the hell out of us as far as the leads gender . Out of 10, I am giving this manga a 9. I mean come on, if it can keep and easily squicked girl like me reading then it has to be good

I'm so hooked on this manga that I cry every time I find out that another chapter hasn't been released. Seriously, this is so brilliant. And so twisted and freaky. At first, it seems to be just another school drama about a gender dysphoric kid... But it's so much more than that. It's a search for identity in more ways than one, and it covers issues as diverse as dealing with sexual abuse, dealing with being a misfit and of course just dealing with being a bastard. (Indeed, one of the characters has to cope with the fact that he's pretty much a psychopath.)

I feel Mashiro's pain. S/he is the only decent individual in a system that's as crazy as it is cruel... I keep hoping that he'll be able to save not only himself but the other students from it as well.

For what it's worth, I'm bloody glad that no one can see my nightmares. Jesus. Reality is nasty enough as it is...

EDIT: Haha, I've decided to buy the manga. I can't wait... It's such a relief that the first four volumes are already licensed! Thanks to the scanslation groups for bringing it to my attention; I wouldn't have found out about this manga otherwise. smile
