This was my first time reading a webcomi, but I really liked it. At first I thought it was weird but I got used to it and it really grew on me. I thought the art was simply amazing!! The pops of color was my favorite part. I loved the black/white motif as well. I thought that it was really vivid and almost a bit surreal.
The story was also unique and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure how I was going to respond to it, but I honetly really liked it. Though it wasn't the ending I was expecting I'm glad that things were better for them :-) Though it was sad that oppa didn't... happy reading!!

it was great.
it opened the realm of endless possibilities in magic but there is still the limitation of "tricks"; that even though you have your own reality but you can't help but to have fantasies about it.

this webcomic made me try others such as dr frost, green day and my heart is beating.

i suggest that you stop reading the comments here and just start reading the series.
enjoy! biggrin

Simply Magical.

I really like this one. The long, sideways pictures are fabulous, and the small uses of color really add to the magical element. I think that the real images look kind of awkward, but many (such as the rose) bring out more depth. The uses of metaphor really add to how intricately done this is (reference to the walking weiner). I was both sad and satisfied withthe ending, as even though it was perfect in every way (that is, if you are clear of fanservice syndrome) but it did leave that bittersweet taste.
It's a little melancholic, but whimsical. It makes me have a little more appreciation for magic. It leaves messages about how society could change, and is very touching. The characters will warm your heart, and the main characters are very well done. They develop beautifully, light is shed to reveal that even the coolest character can be the most messed up, and the other two main leads really blossom. It really is a beautiful web comic.

I have given enough 10s to count on one hand. It is that good.

Made me believe in magic again...

Holy *#&!, this is so amazing.

First off, the art is unique to say the least. As previous reviewers have mentioned, it has a raw and surreal quality that is perfect for the story. Personally, I adore this weird, crazy art, but it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

Second, the story and characters. The implications of poverty and its psychological impact are handled extremely well. Also, what seemed like a very cliche story about a poor student trying to make her way through life, turned out to be one of the most interesting and unique stories I've read. While the story does fall to certain cliches, like the super annoying female wanna-be-enemy of the main character, on the whole, the characters are very human, very three-dimensional, and you can connect to what they're feeling and the way their minds work. There's more to some of the characters than is seen at first - simply speaking, what may seem perfect may very well be an illusion.

I personally found this to be a thought provoking and addicting read. And I did end up crying through a lot of it, because alot of what happened was just so personal and I could relate to a lot of it. Definitely read this one no matter what.

mind blowing art and style

The story line is intriguing, but what really wowed me was the way the author put the work together.
I really love the deliberate choice of adding color to certain things and adding what seems to be real life photographs into the manhwa.
This style also fits with the blending-of-reality-and-dreams-in-life theme.
It is amazing. The drawings left a big impression on me and I think that red rose will stick in my mind for a long time.
I hope that the plot will develop as amazingly as the art does though. I would be sad if it just turns out to be a cliche story, but I would still love the style.

Only way I can describe this is the word above... its amazing, you can never really know what will happen next and it never feels ridiculous. The art is odd but really brings out the feeling of the story(with exception to the rich dude... no clue how he supposedly looks good o,o). I agree with niteangel completely about the contrast the artist does with black and white. All in all I believe this has the potential to be quite an amazing ride, and even without the intriguing art fully capable of being an amazing story. With it, this will probably cement itself into my top 5 with ease. I can't wait to see the future of this manhwa if possible.

Ha Il Kwon has a way with writing stories.

Facing the struggles of life living in poverty, Yoon Ah-ee's abandons her dreams and passions and submits to the harsh world, reality. Day by day struggling to keep her and her sister fed, she meets a strange magician, slowly finding that small lingering childhood that she has within herself.

This story doesn't have big explosions, huge boobs and epic fight scenes otherwise dominated by the global entertainment industry. This Manhwa is about PEOPLE, and their lives, how they deal with their problems.

parallels in (my anecdotal) life that it's hard to objectively judge it.

But that's the "thing" which makes this so unique, so special. It's one of those that you have to create a special category for, and file it away (possibly for a long time). The story will stay with me forever. The author's way of telling the story of one particular side character (the one with the "long face") is so... insightful that it gets you wondering if it's the story of his (author) life. His story parallels a close friend of mine that it's sometimes painful to continue reading.

The story is very intense and personal. I find it a bit TOO personal and need to take a break from it. It's very overwhelming, but I would recommend this to everyone (manga/manhwa/manhua) reader or not. There's something too soulful, deep, for this story to be ignored.

It gave me the nostalgic taste of life

It will be somewhat disheartening if this story is not continued, but that's just how some stories are. Its all the taste of life. Stories like this draw people in. I love and dream of stories like this one. A "real" protagonist, an enchanting and bewitching character who takes your hand and lets you fall in love and dream, if only for a little while, the not so perfect other love interest, and our jealously purple side characters. It's something else....
