High school is difficult for most kids. But for Kayano, a shy girl whose single mother seems to work all the time, it's even worse than usual. She's so afraid of drawing attention to herself that she can't tell the handsome Kamijo how much she loves him until one day she finally gets up the courage to write him a letter confessing her feelings...
This series has been adapted to Chinese live action drama under the name "Devil Beside you", starring Mike He, Rainie Yang and Kingone Wang.

read it, now.
I've read this series five times, and I still keep coming back for more. The story makes me squee, the art makes me want to glomp someone, and Takeru makes me wish he was real.
It was okay..
It was good in the beginning but then it kind of became boring as I was reading the volumes. It had so much potential to be a really good manga; the art was good, the characters were alright but It felt like the story went no where and I could tell that the artist didn't know where the story was going as well.
On the plus side, like I said the art was good, imo. The character Takeru was developed very well..and his personality was funny in the way he carried himself.
The characters were well-drawn and the story went about smoothly. I'd recommend it.
This manga was a lot better, in my opinion, than the drama. It didn't make the main character seem as weak. She grew a lot through out the story, and she wasn't just weak, but she was merely just too nice. Some how I felt the story was really typical, and very predictable, but for the oddest reasons it kept me addicted until the end.
is this like the drama the devil beside you? with rainie and mike? lol. i didn't read it yet.... but 8 is how i rate it from the summary. =]
uh the characters are so poorly drawn in my opinion like their clothes... I don't know about the plot but for me if the art isn't good, then I wouldn't read it.
The ending was good though. I liked the ending a lot. (I skipped the whole story. I just read the last 3 chapters -.-)

Akuma De Sorou
The characters are well developed especially Takeru. In this manga, Takeru was first shown as a bully and a very spoiled brat. However behind those attitudes lie a very deep reason why he is like that and such. As the story goes further, we see Takeru's dark sides and how will he overcome it of course with the help of our main character, Kayano. Kayano is very typical high school girl (a transparent one with her feelings you can say). But no matter how transparent she is, she is only Takeru's weakness. Because of her, Takeru knows how to break down at times when he really needs too. Takeru only shows his softer side to her. Wow, see how love can be a very very great thing? LoL
Anwyay, love progress in this manga is excellent too. We see the couple's jealousy at sometimes whenever they worry that one might have been taken away from the other (stuff like that). and we also see how they make up right away once their struggles have been talked over.
Character Design. Oh Gotta love the character designs in here. I really liked how Takeru is drawn with his spiky hair. It shows more of his gangster attitude. Oh i like him too when he wears glasses. (thought he was hot looking like that) lol
So If you guys enjoy a "bully love", drama at times, romance with see-through emotions, here's a manga for you to read
What the hell? People dress so strange in this manga....
Too pat and too vanilla.
The mangaka really could have gone a long way with this theme. She could have handled it deftly and with depth, but instead she glosses over the difficulties of a stepcestuous relationship. It's all a little too pat and a little too easy. The art is wonderful, as expected of Takanashi-sensei, but the plot and the characterization is dilute and uninteresting. It's too stereotypical to absorb a jaded manga reader.
Crimson Hero by the same mangaka is a much better work. Miles better. Aeons better. If you have to spend your time reading a Takanashi manga, read Crimson Hero instead of this immature romance!
I think this one is real.
I really liked Takeru. his problems are similar to ones I have (only more 'girlish' ;). however it was hard to understood the 'Italy problem' (the way he acted), but I feel half-empty without one of my parents myself, so in the end I think he did the best thing. he just did, what had to be done ("for them", like Kayano thought). without talking to much about it. this is what I liked about him the most.
