I loved Tail of the Moon, and so far I like this one a lot too. The characters are cute and stereotypical, but that's ok. Yes, the main female character is a bit dumb, but she was after all, pulled from the gutter by the main male character. She was uneducated and a bit out of touch with the real world - so she's going to be a bit dumb. Even the mangaka said in volume 1 that she chose to do a formula story. I think she's handling it well. I'm guessing this will turn out a little like Tail of the Moon where the girl learns and developes out of the beginning phase by the end of the story. The characters are good in this one. They have depth in the fact that one minute you love them and the next you want to slap them upside the head. This type of emotional response makes for a good read. If you have no emotional response to characters in a story, then they weren't developed properly. This manga is worth reading. The artwork is very nice as well.

I admit there are good scenes and character development in this series, but there's a limit as to when Sumi (the female lead) would fall trap to Nozomu's plans to take her everytime. At first it was okay, but now it's just really annoying.

I do like Souichirou, but Sumi can be such an idiot to the point of exhaustion. Perhaps, like others, only the art is what keeps me from dropping this series. none

There is a limit to how dumb a person can be. The female lead makes me want to slap her and the story takes a turn for the worse on more than one occasion because of her lack of common sense. The art is the one big selling point of this manga for me.

I just can't read any more. The main girl, sumi, is just too annoying. I think her personality is exaggerated and I agree Joziess for the most part. If the manga was a short manga and ran for maybe 2-3 volumes, then I would finish it. However, it is ongoing and has 5 volumes already so I don't really want to spend the time on it. I won't rate it though because I have only read one volume.

Edit: I decided to start volume 2 and I haven't been able to stop reading it. So far, the story is okay and is getting more interesting. I think you have to be in the right mood to read this manga. I guess right now, I feel that it is okay.

At first, I was hooked onto the manga. The storyline was cute and I thought it wouldn't be another one of those typical cliche shoujo manga. But, I was wrong. The characters are all just idiots and the author makes a miserable attempt to make the main lead to seem insightful.

Here is an example of why: It might have a slight spoiler, but I'm pretty sure that spoils no further than chpt. 6.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
The blonde guy,Nozomu is in a stressful situation where he has to take over the family business. He obviously doesn't want to do it, but feels obligated to do so. This indeed is a heavy burden on his part, especially because he has to do this all by himself.

Now, the main female lead waltz's into his room and gives him the best piece of advice she could, which was also probably the authors attempt at making the main lead seem insightful. What she basically said to him was "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, but if I were you I wouldn't be stressed at all because I would be rich and have a big house to live in. Don't sweat it, man. See? your problems so insignificant compared to mine." Then, he immediately blushes and falls in love with her.

I honestly cannot understand why that would help reduce his stress or make him feel better in any way. I think any normal person of his age would think "Do you really understand the kind of situation I'm in right now? You idiot, don't mash my problems with yours."

Conclusion:
Granted, the storyline is a cute one. I would actually like to read 1 or 2 more with a similar plot, but the flaw of the story is just to noticeable for me to continue this manga. The characters are too idiotic and the dialogue isn't too great.

One more thing, the emotions and expressions all seemed forced and unnatural.

The art is soft and cute. The story is unrealistic, but not i a bad way. It has good humor and is very charming. It is a typical shojo manga for the most part, but has some very interesting plot twists that addict you. And before you know it, the characters have their claws in you and you will want more!

This is a shoujo about falling in love after getting married for money. This has all the right elements and it a good read so far. I am hoping the mangaka continues to work on this for quite some time because this has the potential to be an excellent shoujo manga.I do hope the mangaka takes her time and continues to develop the story and romance. I am enjoying the chemistry between the main couple and am looking forward to more.
The art is right up there so the main characters are quite appealing and attractive. The character development is good. The plot has enough depth to be realistic. The story is constantly improving and deepening. There is drama and also a developing romance.

There arent enough long good romance shoujo's around showing romance development between a married couple. We need more manga's exploiting this subject!! I would also recommend Hapi Mari to those readers who like this manga. It is also about two people marrying for other reasons(money) and focuses on their developing romance.

Improves Drastically Later On

In the beginning, it started off as the typical "cliche shoujo" where the guy is some heartless bastard, and the girl is all "perky and happy".
But, the shoujo does have its good points. There's a plot twist later on, and it REALLY keeps you wanting to know more. Also, the character development is really good. We start to learn more about the guy's past, and begin to understand more. AND, he begins to change - slowly, through his interactions with Sumi smile Serious fangirl moments ! xD
Plus, the art is gorgeus, as you can see from the cover >D It may seem a bit childish at times, but the facial expressions are conveyed pretty well.

I recommend you to read this if you have time to kill or looking for a good manga!
If you've only read up to ... the first volume or second volume, and unimpressed - then, you should try picking it up and reading it till volume 3-4. Then, you can make your choice. Cause, volume 3-5 - best volumes hands down.

--currently up to volume 7; chapter 50 and waiting for the next chapter ;D

There's some great character development going on here. Sumi and Souichirou just keep getting better and better as the story line gets deeper and deeper. The art is also very pretty. See for yourself!

PS Thanks Kyousui Moon for providing such speedy and high quality scanlations. =D
