I dont like it :(

I,too, remember when i was reading like 'OMG what's gonna happen next??!!!!' and it was irritating to wait for the next page to appear! When i arrived around chapter 50, i kinda got less time to read mangas, but now i have plenty of time and when i re read it, it became boring and cliched!
Misaki was a strong female character, but is no more! She blushes here and there IN EVERY CHAPTER! and it gets damn annoying!!! seriously, there's a limit of how much you can blush in a chapter -.-
Usui was cool and hot before but now, usui is like MR PERFECT! Geez, you see guys like that in almost all shoujo mangas! He too blushes too much!
-If i knew 'love' would make someone 'strong to weak', then i better not fall in love for a moment none
I remember when Usui left a mark on Misaki's back so that she could not wear a swimsuit. I was like 'Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~~~~~ *dies of fangasm*' but now it has no effect none
Also, why must they kiss in almost every chapter confused !! it makes it kinda annoying sad
Too much blushies, kisses, I Love You's etc
I dropped it....

All in all, just like almost all shoujos, it went up and up and suddenly fell down to restart.
1/10

Giving me so much hope and WHAM

I was actually excited when I see Misaki as a strong and smart female lead. She's cool and gives me sooo much hope with her character, her character didn't change even till the last chapter (65)..but I hate the fact that she became weak when it comes to Usui. Also,Usui was really perfect that it annoys me,I prefer Misaki to be with You-kun.
Geh,dropped it on chapter 35.
It has lots of great scenes, and good potentials. I just can't stand the characters. Their slow romance doesn't feel real. She fell for him because he's kind, caring, sweet, smart, always protects her,and another perfect personalities blah blah but that's it.. and I thought that this is gonna be good so I kept reading it. Usually I would go all "OMG! OMG! FOR REAL! KYAA!" when it comes to kiss scene but when they kissed I continued reading till the next chapter with a damn straight face.

Why is it that almost all mangas were like this. At first the girl was bad-ass then the guy came, teased her, helped her, blah blah blah and then she became soooo weak and depends on that guy a lot.
Geh. I'd say I prefer Penguin Brothers, though the ending wasn't really satisfying but I kind of understand why the mangaka did that.

First of all, the art is great. However I just can't bring myself to like it no matter what. I don't know why. It's just that I really hate guys who is too overly... Perfect? Like there's no flaws. Misaki is also the girl I really don't like. She interests me at first seeing her so strong and different from the other girls, but when it comes to Usui, aish... She turned to a normal girl to me. I really don't like the feeling? Well, it's not bad but the story really bore me! Sorry guys! ):

My Favourite Manga Ever.

I am obsessed with this manga, cute and funny is the best mix <3 Seriously in love with everything about it, the love trianges, rivalry, emotions, everything a romance lover like me could hope for! People if you haven't read it, you're missing out, it's awesome! I ended up buying the volumes and still waiting for the next one to come out even though I've read it hundreds of times :'D I'm also thinking of buying the anime version too just to complete my little maid sama collection!
Anyway about the manga, people saying the love development was fast?! Totally incorrect. In fact it's the complete oppesite! But even so we are given so many cute moments that should make up for it!
Anyway what are you doing still reading this?! You should be reading this manga by now! Go go go! :L

After multiple failed attempts to read this, I’ve given up. All my friends were raving about how kickass Misaki is, but it was after reading Kaichou that I realized I hate tsunderes, or any characters who pretend to feel a certain way when it’s painfully obvious they feel the opposite. Seriously, it’s annoying as hell. Misaki may be “tough” on the outside, but she never truly gained my respect and has somewhat of an overrated reputation. All she ever does is blush in front of Usui telling him he’s an idiot. She’s also seriously underdeveloped with an unexplored past, which is not good considering she’s the main lead. But it doesn’t stop there.

I am probably the only girl who dislikes Usui. Maybe just the way he treats her. It seems like he’s all that, cool, badass, sexy, rich, suave ect on the outside, but his demeanor bores me. He comes across as rather teasing but not all together that emotional or deep. I see no vulnerable moments - it’s always Misaki being bullied or teased ect. Their entire dynamic really confounds me and I’m surprised it’s been able to work thus far. A lot of this manga is really random and the slice-of-life drama just goes on and on until you get to Usui’s past which is a good change, but what about Misaki’s development? I mean, there’s barely any plot. As for the humor, it’s not my type, but you may find it hilarious. The art is rather good though not the best but for shoujo lovers (sometimes I think I fall more into the shoujo critic category), this is probably a good bet for you, if you don’t have my pet peeves about the characters.

I liked the idea and the art (I don't read a manga unless the art is good) however the fact that Usui is "Mr. Perfect" and that Misaki has always to rely on him for help is getting old. Also the charatcers need more development. It's not bad but not good either.

"FAST" romance???

At all the people that are saying that the romance was FAST! Are you blind? After 60 or what chapters I think it was about time Misaki gave in! She was so hard to push over....I can't see your point at all about the so called "fast" romance. Sure its getting a bit slow paced now...kind of using my last patience but yeah.

It started out and it was sooooo pretty. It seemed to have lots of potential and I just wanted more and more of it. But unfortunately, it went downhill really fast. It actually turned out to be just like every other shojo manga out there and began to have every cliche that shojo mangas usually have, but all in one, squished together back-to-back. Romance was way too fast. The guy just sticks to her and "OMG" we're in love.

I felt kind of bad dropping this, but it got way too cliche way too fast, which is odd because I usually love a larger degree of it... Anyways, I didn't like the combination of Usui and whatsherface. They didn't have balance, at all! Though I LOVE how strong Misaki is, she's still weak when it comes to boys and whatnot. She looks strong and independent, but Usui has her hooked. There was too much blushing and not enough development. She's also quite stupid and bad at communicating, though she's always called smart.

TL,DR: Good potential, good art, bad characters, bad plot.

no character development

this manga started off really good and had a lot of potential. today i finished reading the 59th chapter and unfortunately, there has been no character development at all since the first chapter. The main girl is supposedly "strong" even though she failed to show her mental strength in ALL situations. well you could say that she is strong (physically, that is) and she shows it through violence. she is always thinking that she puts pressure on the main lead, but never takes any action to change that. she is also super sexist, she treats the male and female students differently. the manga was supposed to be based around how she manages her life with being both the president and a maid but latest chapters has NOTHING to do with her being a maid. the manga really got off topic. all in all, the main girl is one of the most annoying female leads out there. she doesn't express what she feels, always misunderstanding other people, very oblivious and even though she is supposed to be "smart", her character shows no sign of that. The main male lead is a typical shoujo main character. he is "best" at everything he does, and he always sticks to the female lead without any apparent reason (he started doing it from the first chapter). Their romance is not so much love but more like, i'm sorry to say, lust because it is very rare to see them having a decent conversation with each other without super blushing, pretending and lying (specially the main girl lies all the time). so there is not any development of the romance in the psychological sense. so to wrap it up, if you are reading shoujo mangas for a long time and tired of cliche stupid stories without any good plot, this is not the one for you. if you are a new shoujo reader and still don't mind plotless stories with shoujo type of romance, you will have fun reading this manga. even though a lot of parts are really boring even for a starter! just skip through the boring pages, those don't add to the manga anyways smile
