in the end i even cried. it was beautiful and i loved every page. a must read. i'll read it again for sure!

I'm a guy who really has nothing against shoujos or gender-benders, but I can't say I was all that impressed with Hana Kimi. In my opinion this manga is neither as hilarious as Power!! (Girl Got Game) nor as well-drawn as Boku ni Natta Watashi. Well, it's still not bad though... but the thing I can't figure out is why the author drew 23 WHOLE VOLUMES. The relationship between Mizuki and Sano, which I guess is supposed to be the focus of the series, pretty much stands still for volumes at a time. Something like 10-12 volumes might have been just right.

This a very easy to follow and easy to read manga, I am not big on romance or shoujo but the humour was what got me started. Not a bad choice if you want something light after a serious series.

I don't know why but for some reason I didn't like this manga. Perhaps because I read so many gender-benders manga with this same storyline that it bored me. Though at times it did have funny moments I'll give it that but the main girl in this manga was not unique enough for me to like.

The best I've ever read. The romance has depth in it, and even though it drags out a bit, at least Sano & Mizuki get to know more about each other before actually dating.

This is a manga I recommend to gender-bender lovers. Or shoujo lovers alone. ^_^ Thanks to Hana-Kimi, my love for gender-benders boosted. <3 I've officially read more than 90% of all the gender benders in the book.

If you're the type to like romances with depth, and a hint of comedy and drama, this is just for you! It'll keep you on the edge of your seat till you finish, just waiting for someone to kiss already. You'll want to continue till the last page!

EDIT :: You know it was basically Hana-Kimi that started the whole gender-bending shoujo? >_> I mean, all the other gender-benders Hana-Kimi-like came AFTER Hana-Kimi. Power!!, Boku ni Natta Watashi, etc etc. I even found one image in Power!! that was EXTREMELY similar to an image in Hana-Kimi

Thus, I prefer the series that started it all n.n

And the artwork... omg, the improvement killed me a bit inside x___x; Sano kept getting sexy and sexier....

It's definitely one of the best shoujo mangas I've read - and I've read alot! The romance is slow, but it's convincing and sweet. SANOxMIZUKI! Gah. Almost every chapter has an 'OMGCUTE' scene, but it did irritate me at times when they were SO OBVIOUSLY, uhm, well, they liked each other, but they just...didn't...see it...!

It's a /good/ gender-bender romance; Sano is an awesome character, but Mizuki is cute and just as great. You can't call yourself a shoujo fan if you haven't read it!

It wasn't that great, story wise.

It reminds me alot of Hana Kimi.

aahhh...it was ok in my openion, although i probably wouldn't read it again. i didn't find it all that funny, but i have to say that some of the guys were fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine! especially the doctor!!!! i'm a romance fanatic, but really particular in watch i watch and read. like for one, i like for the main characters to get together near the middle or the beginning of the series, but in HanaKimi.....................ugh!!!!!! they were really pissing me off by taking so long to confess. One very good point of the story (besides the hot guys) was that it was a really closed ending and it gives you the sensation of "the end"! not my favorite but not the worst!
