Actually, I find myself somewhat in agreement with Chlorophyll. I haven't read (much of) Love Monster, but I think what she meant in her comment was that not that it was a copy but that it was similarly lacking in believability, with a bunch of hot guys and a rather dense girl who always needs rescuing and who they are all somehow attracted to. That's common enough in many shoujo manga, but this series in particular does have some problems with characterization and story. Lys is a bit sillier than I'd like (it's too bad, because she has such a great name! ha-ha-ha...) and Siva is... very very pretty, but otherwise unimpressive. I don't really find it that original, beyond the "Thousand-Nights" type setting and the art.

I wouldn't rate it so low as a 2 myself (I rate pretty leniently, and I do find it cute at times), but I won't deny its problems. For now, I'm reading it for the pretty art.

Wow, the art is incredible! This mangaka has some serious talent. The story is nice too. It gives off a "gentle and sweet" aura. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Since this is shoujo mixed with fantasy (a rare combination btw, since you only see these ones on mahou shoujo types), I immediately picked this one up and I'm not disappointed.
The artwork is gorgeous and beautiful, and the plot is interesting, even if it's only chapter one released so far.
And seriously, to Chlorophyll:
What is the basis of your statement that this manga is just a copycat of Love Monster? Aside from the devil deal, of course. If that's the only proof you have and by giving rather heavy-handed judgement on this title just by chapter one, shows how much an immature fan you are.

I think this manga is going to be a great one. It doesn't look like it has a lot of longevity though. The art is fantastic and the story, which is what I judge a manga on, has great potential. The author is new though (or at least she is to mangaupdates) so its difficult to know what to expect.

Chlorophyll is nuts in ways I don't comprehend. Hanatsukihime has no relevance whatsoever to Love monster. In fact I cannot see any way to compare them other than the fact that it has devils (could be 'monsters' from love monster). I can see how he got the fact that Lys is stupid (jumping from a window to save a ring) but one event may not govern the whole manga. I'm thinking he didn't read the whole chapter, because he seems to have gotten a bunch of the facts wrong. (which I won't mention for spoilers-even though it's only 1 chapter in )

Although only the first chapter (that's been scanlated) came out, I thought it was an absolutely beautiful story (to Chlorophyll: I do not find much similarity between this and Love Monster other than the whole devil deal). The plot's creative, although the characters may be a bit cliche, but then what story has a completely unique set of characters?. The art is extremely detailed and beautiful. I love Lys' outfit, Siva is such an eye-candy, and Thor is just complete cutiepie-ness.

Please disregard a stupid comment below; I don't think the person knows what he is saying. I think this is a really good manga. The chapters may be a bit episodic, but all in all they add to the story. This manga may not be suited to go any longer than 4 or 5 volumes, but I think the plotline is good enough to keep the readers' attention. It's also drawn very well. I've read the first chapter and I'm eagerly anticipating what happens next.

ChlorophyII i Disagree with u......With such a nice plotted story if u too quick to judge. I havent read anything that's close to this. It gives u a curious feeling wat will be waiting on her 16th B-day.

I thought the summary was good, but just by reading one chapter do I know that this is just another shoujo like Love Monster or maybe even worst, since Love Monster was at least a bit entertaining. It's just fan-service with no substance. The main character is stupid and there are lots of guys that are thrown in there just for the sake of having a bunch of guys being all over the main character and for absolutely no reason. The characterization isn't even good the story-telling definitely isn't going to be good either. This manga just seems tasteless to me.

The art is just beautiful & the story is amazing! Pretty original if you ask me.. yet still predictable. I only read the 1st chapter & am SOOO looking forward to reading MORE!
I can't see how to voters would vote this a zero =O That's not right... I think they meant to put a '1' before the '0' XD
anyways, if you like comedy, romance, supernatural, shouji, and a little adventure in the mix, you should definelty read this!
It's a 10/10 in my book so far!
