Sexually, that is!!! Man, even if you can't do the real thing, there is plenty of stuff you can do to satisfy the needs... I was getting bored by Vol5 and skipped till

Vol 11 before they actually did it... then it didn't happen again until much later
, all the while the plot is extremely repetitive - different tribes attacking because of Misao, making a big deal of the last part of the scroll... it bores the hell out of me... No more, I can't stand it! It will stay in my unfinished list!... Last updated on December 9th, 2010, 6:21pm

I wasn't a super huge fan of this manga at first but it's progressing much better. Misao is becoming a lot stronger and is not as much the "weak girl" figure she used to be, which makes me happy. She reminds me a bit of Xander in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. While she's never going to be as strong as the other protagonists she's beginning to figure herself out a bit more and figure out the areas where she can be useful to herself and the others around her. The story is also becoming a lot stronger. Not perfect but a good manga once you get into it.
If you are any kind of decent human being, you will regret reading this

Reading this manga literally makes me sick. The protagonist is a weak, senseless girl who allows her boyfriend to treat her like an object and his possession and feel her up whenever he wants, and this is supposed to be super romantic.
I don't mind stories with super possessive/abusive boyfriends and weak submissive girlfriends, what I mind is when this sort of relationship is viewed as romantic. And in this case it is.
Am I supposed to be impressed by the fact that he jerks her around and receives little to no resistance from her? Is it supposed to make me like this manga? It's just disgusting, this manga is. You start off reading it, thinking it might be okay, but after awhile, it just takes a dive and never surfaces (I was going to say resurfaces, but it wasn't very good to begin with, so . . .)
Unless you're a creeper who thinks that this sort of relationship is romantic (and if you are, then yes, I am judging you), stay away from this manga. What it won an award for is beyond me, but it is probably one of my two most hated mangas in the world, the other one being Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu , and while I rarely give ones, in this case, I believe this manga thoroughly deserves it.

Misao's hopelessly stupid. All she does is cry. When someone captures her or whatever, she doesn't really even try to fight back. Even when she tries to be of some help, she still acts like a complete retard. She doesn't have any common sense whatsoever. I mean, if you know that your opponent is untrustworthy, why in the world would you not weigh the consequences first before diving in blind? She's the typical, weak, dumb "heroine" who never thinks. There's probably only about 5% of the entire series where she's not crying.

The beginning was good. It got tolerable as it progressed. I agree with Keneko though. Misao should really stop crying. She should try to find a way how to be strong and be of help to Kyo.
Took a second to warm up to it

Shoujo, Smut mangas are generally cliched anyways - it's how interesting the plot goes, no?
It's not that bad - I actually like how the story's progressing. The artwork's more than decent and although there are cliches, it's still a good read!
It's much much better than Love Monster and most definitely worth your time. Something that's got a right mix of everything although... it could do well with more smutty scenes =P

standard shoujo fare with a bunch of cliches... childhood friends, rivals in family, student-teacher relationship with a bunch of bishies and suggestive scenes. if you've read one, you've read 'em all. nothing special about this.

I love how the romance is complicated by the question of motive. Kyo interesting - he goes after her persistently and she in turn considers the situation. She does not mindlessly falls in love and go with the flow because they are childhood friends or because he is handsome. I think what really draws me is her reactions to situations and trying to understand the mystery of who kyo is. The politics of his world should be interesting - i am looking forward to understanding that as well.

I dropped this manga a few years ago, then recently try to reread it again since i saw it has been completed. This one is okay for me. It's not bad but it's also not an outstanding serie either. Characters and the strenght of the story are standard shoujo. I like supernatural manga, especially ones involving japanese folklore, so the theme of this manga plus adding romance is perfect for me. I'm just thinking when reading it that the story could be developed better, to give more details about demon world, deeper interaction with other clans, and many things... Like this thing, i was curious about.. there had been more senka before/after edo period. If their fate ended up being food, eaten by demon.. Surely it exists a demon who is eternally young and immortal. Why they dont appear in the manga? Of course, i'm conscious that i'm reading a shoujo manga, which nevertheless focus only on romance with their demographic readers are teenagers. But even a simple story can be well developed and amazing depends on the skill of the mangaka. One thing i concern about is teenage pregnancy :/

i dont like how the mangaka set up misao character toward the ending, that she has no other dream except being kyo's bride but even before finishing high school she got pregnant... ._. Becomes a mother before a bride.... Even trying to abort the baby. She is sometimes spineless, like when kyo told her to go back to human side, joining raikou. She just followed it. Then told her to abort... she followed it, until doujouji woke her up. There are a lot of young girls reading and loving this manga... But surely i don't want to recommend this to girl below 18 yo. And then i was repulsed at how obsessive kyo toward misao that even his love for his son couldnt even compared with o.O?!
Finally, if you havent had experience of reading many manga, you can give it a try. But for an avid reader, this manga might not satisfy you.... Last updated on February 25th, 2015, 1:20pm
