I really love this series! The art is just great and the story line is just surprising? I don't know, but when you're reading it, it somehow makes you want to read more and more.. Though, it's a bit sad how some chapters haven't been scanlated yet. >__<
This is exactly the type of mangas I like! The whole hidden power and dark secrets... it gets me so excited 
Although the chapters are all screwed and the anime isn't as entertaining, it's a perfect 10!
Update:
Finally finished it, obviously my opinion of it has changed. 8p The secrets got TOO dark and TOO confusing. I was struggling to keep up with peoples names and their fates majority of the time.
I am NOT looking forward to a sequel. I was kinda hoping this would get a bitter sweet ending and Mikan and Natsume could finally be together. I mean, it's sad that Hotaru and her brother were lost... but she literally sacrificed herself for her friend.
I feel like a sequel is really crapping on that sacrifice. But ok... I doubt I'll be reading the sequel.

At first it was funny and sweet, but in the middle it turns out it has a dark and serious side. I loved them bouth!
The matter that you're reading about ten years old is nothing after you start reading it. ( they're behavior is anyway grownup for their age, especially natsumes)

one of the best mangas! though childish enough but its ssssoooo cute!!!
dnt know why i was so into ds.. i really never read supernatural genre in mangas but i love ds! makes you wanted to finish the manga without stopping

The sad thing is, I had to force myself to get through it. I heard it was good, and started watching the anime, but stopped 10 minutes into the episode. Then I started watching it again, and stopped watching it 1/2 way in. I finally started reading the manga, and am extremely into it. ^^
At first I thought it was going to be annoying, but the story is enjoyable, and it has a sort of 'kodocha' feel to it sometimes, and that alone is enough to keep me reading.

Probably one of my favorite mangas. Little cliche with Mikan's attitude and personality, but the plot is great!
No OMG ___ IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND I WANT TO **** HIM!!!!! filth that fills the genre. Only a good plot with good characters that drives the story along. Even though Mikan/Natsume is an obvious ripoff of Kurata/Hayama.

Very cute and sweet story. I love Mikan and her friends. Though it looks childish, but there's heavy points. At first, it kinda reminds me of Kodomo no Ocha.
