Description
Brilliant and overachieving, Misaki Ayuzawa is the President of the Student Council at Seika High School, formerly a boys' school. Unfortunately, most of the students are still male and stuck in their slovenly habits, so man-hating Misaki really socks it to 'em in an attempt to make the school presentable to attract more female students. But what will she do when the sexiest boy in school finds out that after school, Misaki works in a maid cafe.

I believe that both leads are interesting, but what is the story? I've read 50 chapters and i am still bored out of my mind. If someone could explain why this manga is so popular I would love to listen, but so far, in my opinion, it lacks plot and point. Each chapter is monotonous and lacks stakes. My overall impression is that the piece is "blah".

i don't even know where to start..i'll start by saying IF U DIDN'T READ THIS MANGA GO READ IT NOW!!!$@*! this is one of the BEST manga's i have EVER read!!
the art is so good! one of the best i ever saw! and the plote is just** i almost dont have words to describe x:
i love Misaki's character because she is a STRONG FEMALE LEAD and smart which i really really love. she's not one of those crybaby girls and she hate's boys which is amusing alot.
i also love the drama in it..about her father leaving her and the fact that she is poor and is trying to change a school that once was an all-boys school. and the fact that a girl like her that scares the shit out of boys ACTUALLY works in a maid cofe it really amusing!
and i love the drama that Usui has in his life too. about his family, his brother and mother.
there were chapters that i almost fell out of my chair, i laught my ass off (i really love funny mangas like this one).
the romance is really good too ♥ i almost feel jealous XD its not too slow too.
u can see how much he has an intres in her and how he became to love her.
i absolutely recommend this manga to everyone!TO ALL THE GUYS: don't think because it's a shoujo u won't like it because i promise u will!(:

**so what are ya waiting for?? READ IT!**

**P.S i have also seen the anime and its hilarious! the order of the episodes is different from the manga but i also recommend seen the anime it's really good!**

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Ok, so we have Misaki, a hardworking tsundere who all of a sudden gets all of the attention from a super-perfect-hot guy? Really, Usui is super perfect. He's hot, he's smart, and he's strong. Of course, he has ~family problems~ just like Kei Takishima. Usui is so unreal its almost ridiculous. And this manga is like Special A, although Special is better. This manga is a bit more enjoyable though, because you really get attached to Usui, and it has funny scenes to go with it.
Misaki annoys me so much. To the point where I can't enjoy this manga because of how idiotic she's being. She's smart academically, but can't cook. Cmon. I think she could cook, a BIT cuz what the hell, she's at the top of the grades with the exception of Usui! I really hate how she doesn't open up to Usui 99% of the time. But if she did, well we'd have no story. If she did open up to him, she'd probably another typical shoujo heroine. But the fact Misaki is constantly saved my Usui really pisses me off, because since she's independent she could probably prevent it.
So I gotta say, this manga is great for shoujo lovers. The guy's hot, the art is cute, and it's a manga where you'll want to put yourself inside, and be Misaki. When I first watched the anime, I really wanted to be Misaki. CUZ OF USUI D; ughhh even if he's unreal I really like him. It's just that the manga itself is a bit too unrealistic. With Usui, and the whole hinata-childhood friend concept; I mean CHILDHOOD FRIENDS? How more cliche can you get? The fact that Hinata finds Misaki is very unreal. POPULAR MALE LEAD? TSUNDERE? POSSESSIVE LOVER? MAIDS?! idk, but too me, it seems very unreal.
What pisses me off the most is how the mangaka leaves some scenes out. At first it's like, OK I wonder what happens after that...Maybe if I read more it will tell me...ahaha. no. Like the time when Usui and Misaki hug? What happens after that? There are many more, where scenes seem to just be left out.
Another thing that pisses me off; it seems like Misaki totally forgets that Usui kissed her. I mean, she remembered the stupid hug when looking at him the next day, but she forgets that Usui kissed her?! If i was her, I would remember the kiss everytime I see Usui. Plus, she seems totally casual with him after they kissed like twice, like the time when Hinata and Usui is over at her house. Its like, WHAT THE HELL?! THERE IS SOMETHING ROMANTICALLY HUGE GOING ON BETWEEN YOU TWO, AND YOU'RE JUST SITTING AROUND?! ughh....it pisses me off sorry ;_;
I recommend this to all shoujo-lovers, cuz it is enjoyable sometimes. It's kinda sucks you in, and you want to keep reading because it is interesting, and the events go pretty fast.
It's not my cup of tea in the morning though, but I gotta give props to Fujiwara Hiro, she's good. For the first manga she's every written, its really great. She really is a great rookie.

Bestest manga eva!! Its a really interesting manga. All the charcters are really funny and they are so Kawaii, except when Kaichou-san is being Kawai! The drawings are amazing and the story line is captivating. I enjoy this manga (and the anime) very much. READ IT!

They say it's cliche, but it's really fun! So if you're *really* picky, you may not like it, but if you like a strong heroine and a weird hero, this manga is for you! The supporting characters are also well-developed and amusing!

Actually, now that I'm rereading the series, I can see how it's full of cliches. To be honest, I only read the series for Yukimura's sake (and later on when Kanou appears too.) Haha, maybe because I can't help but want to see Yukimura in awkward situations?

Main couple-wise, it's pretty obvious that they are going to get together, even if there are "rivals". I mean, the author pretty much established them as an OTP since like the first chapter, so basically we're just riding the story out... er... well the "story".

But still, it's something light to read. And... Yukimura, LOL.

It started out so good but the plot is started to drag and I've lost any fondness (and intrest) I have for the main characters. The Author is constantly introducing new characters and abandoning old ones without tying up any lose ends or making them connect properly to the story. Plus there are to many sub-plots that by the time I finish one sub-plot and the author takes me back to an older sub-plot, I've lost all intrest. I feel as if the Author is tring to cram 10 series into one story, which is really too bad because it could have been so good if the author had cut out all the random "misa helps with her friend's struggles" moments and focused on the relationship between misaki and usui and the inevitable throw-down with the creeper president from the other school. Honestly this story shouldn't have lasted more than 5 or 6 volumes (there's just not enough substance).
