Okay, so yeah, I'm ashamed to say I have family members who do.  I mean, they're under 13, but still... >.> My brother is (was?) one of them. o_o Personally, I've never done it, even as a toddler. o.o I'm a clean boy, keke~
Anyways, this is why I'm scared of pools now. O_O I know, I know, the sea
is even worse, but whatever... >.>;; Oh well, guess ignorance is bliss, eh?

No no. I've never done it.
That's why I don't go into pools anymore. Especially if there are kids about.
You say the sea is worse, but at least the current takes it elsewhere. The pool, it just...well...doesn't go anywhere. It gets recycled

Hey whats wrong with kids in pools? They keep you warm during winter swimming XD
And yes im a proud member of the "Free Pissing" movement: any part of the world is my personal bathroom, pools are no exception XD

I probably did once or twice when I was little, and couldn't hold it in.
Not on purpose.
But no, I don't target pools and feel giddy by pissing in them.

all our toilets are connected to the sewers which goes directly into the sea. So essentially, we are all swimming in our own shit [and other animal's shit water].

STDs don't work like that. They're called "sexually transmitted" diseases because you transmit them by having sex (or by drinking breast milk "on tap" or reusing needles). Not by swimming in a pool where someone urinated.

Oh, the sex part is just spicing it up. Most bodily fluids do transmit STD. Certain STD transmit by saliva but not HIV. If someone suddenly got their aunt coming to town and they just happen to be in the pool with some sort of STD....it's going to spread.
Of course that's not to be worry about as high content of Chlorine and germ killing fluids are present in swimming pools.

It's not an STD if it spreads like a normal disease. Really. STDs require very specific conditions to survive, so they'll die in anything other than a human body.
