i dont think theres a thread about this but
which do you prefer? shonen manga art or shoujo art?

i like shonen better
generally, shoujo drawings annoy me for some reason (maybe they seem kinda unproportional), but dont get me wrong, i do enjoy a lot of shoujo manga

I certainly prefer shounen art because (apart from the hot chicks they draw) shoujo artists tend to make characters look too European and impossibly thin for their height.

The ideal human body, aka non-existant. Shonen for me.

I usually warm up to shoujo art, but to start with I find a lot of typical shoujo styles off-putting. Though theres a lot of variation within both categories, I usually prefer your typical shounen drawn characters.

basically shounen does what some could consider impossible, ideal female bodies. (and how every female character has one)

definately shounen, but i like the diversity to be able to switch it up occasionally

I'd say shonen for I dislike huge, plate-like eyes.

But its like your looking deep into their souls...man they must go thru the eyes drops like crazy during winter.

Shounen art, I also find it cuter than shoujo art. I think It's also cause I like it when hair is bunched together more than when it's uhh... strandy? It's also more appealing to me, while I'm drawing. There's not as much fun in drawing if I have to draw hair all strandy-like.

Depends on the individual artist. Shounen tends to have way too many impossible boobies, while shoujo tends to have the huge eyes & very thin/elongated bodies; overall I think I like shoujo better.
