let's see.. favorites:

- a few from shounen: naruto , bleach, d.gray man, full metal alchemist -- read the manga and watched the anime

- a whole lotta shoujo!! - i read basically everything i can get my hands on - even the really annoying "helpless heroine" ones out of sheer desperation. love smut.. manhwa romantic comedies are the best

- tokyo crazy paradise and hot blooded woman -- are my absolute favorites! i love ladies who can kick some bad guy butts,, be really funny, stupid and smart at the same time, and still end up with the guy they like.

- ouran high school host club is the funniest manga AND anime i've ever seen and i love it!!

-- i hate harems and ecchi -- i find them degrading for women -- im not a hardcore feminist or anything and i'd like everyone to know that this is a personal opinion. i realize that it can be argued otherwise, but, like i said, it's a personal opinion.

I'm Filipina-American. My one Japanese friend hates how American Otaku try to act all Japanese and I complain that I could have Japanese in me since Japan is not very far from the Philippines. He has to grudgingly admit that this could be very possible. My grandfather also has lots of Japanese friends, possibly because he looks more Japanese than Filipino in his old age. laugh

Manga? I think people here are more into anime or just Naruto...everywhere I see people watching anime...It's always Naruto >.< Only a small portion actually read manga. At least that's my experience here.

Oh. I'm Chinese living in the Philippines BTW.

man that's sick, girls that kiss some bad guy butts hehe... i no, i no, it's just a little typo(it is right?), but the sentence just like begging to be pointed out.

Anyway i'm just putting my nose where it didn't belong here cuz i'm no Philipines, i'm Malaysian, that's right ur country friendly neighbourhood so let's just say that i'm from the same region ASEAN. As for my fav manga, i can't named 'em cuz there's just too many and i feel like if put them in ranking like that, the other will like lost their value or something and generally i can accept almost all genre except for yaoi and tragedy so you can imagine just how many manga falls under that smile wink grin

Glad to see some ASEAN guys out there cool

I'm a failure as a Filipino since I was born in the Philippines but am unable to speak tagalog. dead Everyone I know are surprised that I'm an immigrant, since I have no trace of a Filipino accent.
As for faves: Urusawa Naoki and Asano Inio titles, GTO, Vagabond, Blade of the Immortal, Hoshi no Koe, Mushishi, Honey and Clover, the list just goes on and on and on......

You might be able to pass for a Filipino. My cousin's husband is Malaysian and until he told us that he was Malaysian everyone in my family was convinced he was Filipino based solely on looks.
