I wanna wear glasses, I think they're cool =D, but then it won't help my eye sight.

just pop the lenses out, it'll be funny when ppl stop to stare at the non-lens

Wearing them when you want to would be fine, but needing to wear them or you can't see is no fun at all. no

my sister says i have the eyes of sauron, but she is on crack, so ignore her.

My eyes have a yellow-y center ring and then the rest is sorta a moss- y color. followed by a sea foam color. (the last bit is again according to my sister)

and as far as glasses, one of my eyes has astigmatism, ironically, it is the one that i can actually see out of.

sry to interrupt glasses debate....

Anyone here has brown eyes that appear a redish color? Mines do, and I just noticed it, it only happens at night, though...it accually scares me!!! dead

*Raises hand* Yep, mine are red-tinged all the time, and occasionally they look like they're slightly golden as well. My eyes are really weird, which is why I haven't answered the poll. I don't know whether to say 'brown' or 'other'.

Probably no one wears the "replace every 12 months" kind anymore now that they have reasonably priced disposable ones. Towards the end of the year, they did sometimes get a bit "dirty" with protein deposits & stuff. Oh, had to use enzyme cleaner on them once per week, I think; kind of a pain, but way better than wearing glasses!

Everyone's eyes are different, but mine tolerate contacts quite well. eyes Two days in a row now I've worn mine for more like 20 hours, because I fell asleep on the couch with the lenses still in. Take 'em out, sleep four hours, put 'em in, all's good. biggrin

Nope. Never heard of the "replace every 12 months".... because they sound like mine (hard cons). Using enzyme cleaner once a week, NOT a pain!!! I use it everyday. Sometimes I sleep with them too cool not good though...

Ahh... that reminds me. My doctor "flips" my eyelids, in case I get some.... bubbles?? inside my eye. Does yours do that?

@xShatteredSoulx
I think... yours are "other" because yours are not boring like brown.

He does kind of turn my upper eyelids inside out & look at the inner surface, but I never really asked why. I always figured it was to check if my contacts were irritating the inside of my lids, or just a general "check to make sure there's no problem".
confused

It's because dirty contacts would cause something to happen inside your eye.... like bubbles. I don't know what the name of those bubbles are, but I've seen somebody with them. And she had to put cream on it, and it stings.

But it's interesting! And I'm happy to see that somebody else also get their upper eyelids flipped biggrin I hate the feeling though, haha.

I have glasses, and a stigmatism in my left eye that actually improved my vision to the point that I avoided glasses for five years before I needed them. Don't get why though.

This is why I'm afraid of contacts, though they would look better than my thin, black frames.

I wasn't thrilled by the idea of sticking bits of plastic in my eyes either, but I've been using them for 22 years now with no problems. eyes I've tried wearing my glasses now & then (and I've had to wear them a couple times when I got pinkeye from the kids at the daycare where I was working), but for me contacts are much better.

That's what my mom says. But I still think that it's too much of a hassle each morning for me. I'm lazy for the most part.

Maybe I'll go for laser eye surgery when I'm in my twenties. That's not too long from now...

... eye surgery is pretty scary. It's scarier than bone surgery.. I'd rather wear ugly glasses and annoying contacts than to have them touch my eye.
