You know the funny thing about reincarnation is that you'll never learn your lesson after being turned into something bad. I mean after you get punished and get turned into a worm or something, you'll live, then die. If you lived a "good life" you'll go up the ladder again. But you know, every time you reincarnate, you will forget everything. So there's no real point in even trying to enforce reincarnation, you'll just have to tell people about it and scare them into obeying moral laws.

Are you scared of dying and what happens after you die ?

Yes. The thing that scares me most about dying is that it might happen before all my goals are achieved. A scary thought indeed.

Since I do believe in God, I should believe in the afterlife I suppose, but sometimes I have doubts. If there is such a place as Hell, then I'm probably going there, which makes me both curious and terrified.

Since I don't believe in reincarnation, the only alternative is complete oblivion. That is the scariest thing I've ever imagined.

i'm totaly scared of dying since i like to learn and i learn all kind of thing some usefull and some useless and it's what make me the way i am, the fact that all end and that all i learned during my life vanish the instant i die scare the shit out of me.
But i will surely kill myself when i got old, my cousin work in a hospital and when she tell me story about the old people who can't even wash themselve or shit alone it remind me that a day i will surely become like this if i live long and i couldn't bear it so when i'll be too old and if i'm alone (i mean if my wife, if i ever got one, is gone) then i'll surely kill myself.

I'm not afraid to die, because at that time will be the only time that I'll be in peace...that what my dad said too. But I've always wondered what it would feel like, would it hurt? or would it be like going to sleep?

Looks like u have had a private audience with the Big Guy up there since you are so convinced about ur theory of reincarnation biggrin but funnily enough, it coincides with my idea of reincarnation bigrazz . Even though what you last sed might give a reason to my childhood incident- besides the fact that he was just a big bully, I dont think its right to force people to live morally even though you can advice- or unless they are ur kids/sibling biggrin ..

and about forgetting everything once u reincarnate- it appears some people might remember and one way to find out might be hypnotism laugh
ok, seriously, once I have enough money, I am willing to try this- I think I died last life by asphyxiation because even though I am not claustrophobic or have any phobia or even respiratory problems, I have the tendency to not wear anything that touches the base of my neck that could restrict my windpipe...I believe there are certain idiosyncrasies or habits and vestiges of memory passed down..one other friend has a small hairless patch on his scalp since he was born and he believes that he might have been shot in the head in his previous life laugh

I don't think that many people really want to die.

death is a big factor/worry for most people cause of fear of big loss...
fear of big loss comes from when you have too much to lose...
too much to lose is when you have your life set and have quite amount of money saved, friends and families you dont wanna part from, the painful experience that u dont wanna ever face, big dreams yet to be fullfilled, hobbies or unsatisfied amount of any kind of personal desires such as sex, media, marriage, etc... and a dedicated promise....

anybody who lacks in most or all of them seems to be the ones that are suicidal and could face anything : iraqies [ scary people eek ] , emos, 50-year old virgins, bankruptcy victims, 9-11 loss victims, and all other 3rd world country inhabidance ( no offense but the truth, a sad world we live in)....

YEAH, is dump and probably won't happen (YET), but if someone comes with that sort of technology I AM SO GOING TO USE IT... I was going to Mayor in college and try to develop that kind of technology, but I decided it was easier to become rich and buy it once is done and is secure smile

in fact it's exactly this. You're much better than me for explaining this.
laugh

the idea of a kickass robot with my consciousness in it would be great eyes

Didn't vote since the question had two parts and I had different answers for each bigrazz. Yes I'm afraid of dying (depending on how I die) since it could potentially be draw out and/or painful sad . No, I'm not afraid of after death since...I'll be dead and I don't believe in the afterlife.
