Hot Gimmick didn't do a thing for me. It's those dominating boyfriends and passive girlfriends, argh!

Fruits Basket - don't get me wrong. I think it's a really great manga. It has great character development, plot, and art. I just can't seem to enjoy it like everyone else. I dropped it after it started to drag. I think I'll reread it someday...

Special A - Just, how dense can you get? Ugh.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! It seems to have gained a lot in popularity - but I just can't seem to like it.

Shinshi doumei cross - yeah, no. dead I was a bit excited when the guy said he only liked guys... but it wasn't so. What a disappointment.

100% Perfect Girl Started out great. Went very downhill from there. It reads like a really bad soap opera.
Absolute Boyfriend Grr. This one makes me angry. Despite it being my first manga...

Also:
Midnight Secretary
Itadakimasu (I tried, I really did. I just don't see the appeal in it) + other works by the mangaka
[m]B.O.D.Y [/m](probably not that popular, but it's licensed so publishers must have thought it would have some worth.)
V.B. Rose (again, licensed)
Five

La Corda D'Oro - The characters are good-looking, but I can't see any attraction in this manga

And Vampire Knight ... I am lost my feeling abt this manga.

- Special A (shoujo version of Bleach? ._.;; )
- Fruits Basket
- Anything by Shinjo Mayu, Minami Kanan, Kayono
- Midnight Secretary
- Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne
- Lovely Complex (not that bad, but again, it's just too long)
- Love Monster

beauty is the beast- i just dont get it.'

hot gimmick, though it seems thats a common one not to like

and theres one more and I know i like it the least...but i cant remember the name, i didnt bother putting it on any lists. they made an anime of it though, where the girl goes to the same school as the really popular guy and then she has to live with him for some reason or another and he doesn't like her? well, i didnt like that one either.

Fruits Basket, it had its moments though but overall I didn't like the main characters all too much.

Special A, after awhile it got really repetitive and boring.

Hot Gimmick, complete bull-crap. No sane girl would go for a rapist and abuser.

Wallflower, it started out okay but then it got really boring really fast.

Yuu Watase manga bothers me a lot. They usually start out alright and they have nice little interesting plots and well drawn characters but the girl always ends up with the guy that I dislike or the main character is really wishy-washy about her men and tends to lead the one she's not going to choose on a little too much. In particular I didn't like Ceres and Absolute Boyfriend however I did enjoy Alice 19th.

Gentleman's Alliance and all the other manga by this mangaka, Full Moon was alright but the other ones kind of annoy me. I just can't relate to the main girl.

Peach Girl - I didn't really like the guys in this one. Momo was cool, but the two guys didn't really do it for me.

Vampire Knight - I only enjoyed this briefly for Kaname. I didn't particularly like Zero or Yuki. Yuki's character was pretty much 2-d and Zero is really overboard with his emo backstory. I get that he's traumatized and fighting with his inner demons but... he really wasn't likable in my opinion.

Hana Yori Dango - I did enjoy the drama... for about 9 volumes and then it just got to be a little too dramatic... I hate shoujo that tries to put too much drama in one series...

Parfait Tic - it was okay... until the main heroine pretty much dated both guys. I love love triangles and all but this is just a little unfair for both guys.

Koukou Debut - It was alright at first. I mean the beginning was pretty cute and all but after that it was really... boring.

Kare First Love / DOUBT - Okay... first two volumes were nice, the rest was crap. All I had to say was the main girl totally changed who she was for a guy, that irked me to no end. This goes for both mangas.

Skip Beat - Okay I would recommend this one even if I don't like it much. The beginning was really good because it was really really funny, I actually burst out laughing which I usually don't do while reading. There were also some touching moments but when it started to focus a little too much on romance Kyoko lost her appeal.

You just haven't read far enough into the series... bigrazz

I totally didn't get Nana, even though I liked the mangaka's other less popular work, Paradise Kiss.

And couldn't get into Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, even though I love other Arina Tanemura manga... confused

I pretty much love most shojo manga, it's josei I can't get into... maybe I'm just immature? laugh

Fushigi Yugi - This was one of my first manga and I loved it. Now, however, I wonder why I had ever enjoyed reading such a mediocre manga. I mean the art is nice enough but the story is below average and the main character is annoying. I find that this mangaka tend to recycle some characters.

Some others:
Hot Gimmick - the story ended the same way it started
Vampire Knight - the art is beautiful and the author had a nice concept but her storytelling is slow
Special A - i like the humor, but nothing really stood out for me
Desire Climax and any other manga with similar story lines

I wasn't sure how popular Itadakimasu was, so I didn't mention it in my other post, but I really went into sugar overload on that one. It was cute at first, but I was really hurrying to get through the last 2 volumes of it as fast as I could. Thank god it wasn't longer, or I'd have likely dropped it. Nothing really unique. It can be a good older woman/younger man story at times, though.

Love Hina is a shounen, almost the polar opposite of a shoujo.

I didn't like Legend of Nereid. It was fine for a volume or two, then it skipped an ending and another one, then I stopped reading.
