Sometimes I skip school .. Sometimes I overexagerate my sickness.. Like when I just have a light cough, I use it as a excuse to not go to school..

Would that really be considered skipping?

Primary & secondary school? Yes, quite a lot. College? Nope, I would never catch up on the material ;_;

Haha skipping school got a lot more common for me when I got my car, soon after the principal ended up telling the entire senior class that we were allowed 14 days of unexcused absences, and then my parents got rid of the home phone number which I never told the school. Before that though I'd just go to the clinic and pretend I was sick so I could leave sooner, or just sleep for 15-20 minutes.

My school ordered donuts from my parent's shop, and they knew they were my parents, they just weren't smart enough to call them about it.

yeah, well there was a teacher in my math class last year that targeted me, and long story short i had to write my moms number and name on my tests every time.
once i did so bad, that i wrote my full name,my address, my 2 cells and my email, then the same things about my mom, and also my grandma's contact information...

Quite the opposite for me. Never skipped in elementary and high school. Skipped everyday of my spring quarter calculus class 1st year in college cuz 1) I could (against school policy to take attendance, seriously) and 2) the teacher was horrible (worst of the math teachers, according to a math TA). The material was hard, but somehow I was able to pass the class with a C but miserably failing my two midterms........ none True what you say though, miss one class and sometimes it can be a b**** catching up to the material.

I have the worst math teacher ever but my school is so small that I cannot skip because I will be found out. And 3 of my teachers and the principal are all good friends of my mom.

Some of these stories just make me glad that I'm in the Florida school system.

Never skipped school through 4th grade (hard to "skip" when you're homeschooled laugh ) but we only had school about two hours/day. 5th grade I loved & didn't miss a single day. 6th grade I didn't like much but don't remember skipping, other than the day I got mad at other kids in the class, took my cupcakes (for a class party) and went home - lived about two blocks from school. laugh

7th-11th grade I skipped as much as I could without making my mom TOO mad, but I'd just stay home & read or something, never got into trouble. Each semester of each year, I had to fill out this stupid little form & take it around to all my teachers to "petition for credit" for that semester, since I'd missed more than the allowed number of days. My grades were good enough & I didn't cause trouble in class, so no problem there.

12th grade I *think* I had to petition for credit first semester, can't remember for sure. But my very last semester of HS I actually had 2-3 days left over that I could have missed but didn't! So disappointed in myself. no

College I missed some classes occasionally, but generally it was more trouble catching up than it was worth to skip class.

in 2005, i broke schools record for skipping school for 5 months straight. from january till may. but now it's hard to skip school. that new administrator just turn my school into prison. whenever we need to get out of school for "certain" reason, it's gonna be prison break all over again. every day... that sucks

wanna talk prison?
we have an armed security guard at the gate that goes on patrols around the school (security reasons) and this year, ppl who will be cought climbing over the fence are suspended for 2 days.

just two days? my school got guards too(duh). we don't got 2 days. instead we got 2 weeks of "vacation". and my friend, a cigarette smugler in school, got 2 months. oh yeah, my school's fence, is a prison wall. you can compare it to nearby prison and see if there is any difference. we make a grafiti for the school wall. it said, "my school, my prison 2010" . it supposed to be my school, my paradise 2010.
