I think he's right... I couldn't remember where it was but that seems likely... if I remember right its 2 childhood friends that can't admit their love and the sould of a cactus gets into the dude while he goes to the cactus... the soul seems to be a bit of a player as well I think... also something about him taking care of the cactus she gave him along time ago... if all that's correct then sinjid got it right ...
On topic ill put in inumimi its really rediculous but its sweet and definitely not a normal teen boys relationship lol. Also one of my favs hana to akuma demon and a girl he found as a baby. And then there is the link in my sig which features a female vampire and a borderline serial killer.

......... I've read your sig 4 ****ing times.... I can't stop.... its evil....
Anyway Saikano starts off average but changes extremely quick from that... don't let the tragedy tag stop you, its amazing.
On the funnier side there is super-dreadnought girl 4946, giant youkai girl defending the world falls in love with a midget that's obsessed with getting a girl... just the fact that sex is physically impossible makes it uncommon, not to mention soul devouring and so forth. maoyuu maou yuusha isn't updating often but its a more lighthearted version of the plot of superior demon lord xhero... thankfully he has an actual fricken name tho... that's all for now I guess

pig bride is really good and rather unusual, the girl wears a pig mask all throughout the romance and you never see her face til the end  You can also try the "unorthodox female love interest" and "unorthodox male love interest" tabs and see what comes up.
