Im not exactly sure of their genre, but High and Mighty Color is considered metalcore and they are a Japanese band, their stuff is pretty awesome. I would definitely recommend them.

i figured these two to be metal not rock cause their heavy. Kittie scared the HELL outta me the first time I heard them!

Disturbed and System of a Down are my favourite metal bands I need some more recommendations though
