Manga by the author of Dengeki Daisy are really good, but Dengeki Daisy is probably a bit dramatic for you.

I always find Mitsuki Kako has a beautifully peaceful quality to her manga - like Ai Hime - Ai to Himegoto (as long as you don't consider niece/foster-uncle as incest), or Sora Log maybe. They both have some drama, but I'd say they fit.
