Like I was saying my brain is mush right now, best thing to to do might be wiki them. Then again I might just like one of their songs and their name got mixed in with the others.

1. Red Hot Chili Peppers

Other notable ones in no particular order: Rise Against, The Bravery, The White Stripes, Audioslave, Within Temptation, Drist

Japanese bands: AKFG and The Pillows (more recent stuff, not the british rock sounding stuff)

I'll list by bands still putting music out.

1. Tool (if you haven't heard of them you need to, like now)
2. Wolfmother
3. White Stripes
4. Arctic Monkeys

I like pretty much all genres of rock and this is basically my current favourites. AEnema and 10000 Days by Tool are probably my all time favourite songs.

Well, I've got to say:
1. blink-182

They take the cake, just 'cause they were so freakin' original with their lyrics and ideas. *Sigh* now they've split up into AVA and +44 both of which whom suck! no

1. Electric Light Orchestra
2. Modest Mouse
3. Jupiter One
4. UFO
5. Funkadelic
6. House of Freaks
7. Blind Melon
8. Vampire Weekend
9. The Cherry Coke$
10. Muse
11. Takeshi Terauchi and the Bunnys
12. Pearl Jam
13. Steppenwolf
14. R.E.M.

After fifth, my list gets a little shaky and I'm not so confident in my decision, but those top five, yeah, those are it. It might really be more accurate to say that those last nine are all tied for sixth.

You pinned me! Jeff Lynne is awesome.

But if it's any comfort to you (that ellipses looked...irritated), just because I'm completely sure about what my favorite bands are in the top five doesn't mean that they don't move around; it just means that I am capable of assigning a quantitative value to how much I like them.

Too bad it was only rock bands. That would have pushed all of the list down at least three spots and stuff towards the back as many as six.

That said, right now, combo of On the Third Day and Eldorado is tearing up my speakers and thumping down the walls. Heaven, I am in. Or maybe I'm In the Hall of the Mountain King.... 35 years and it hasn't aged a day.

They don't suck that much but I agree that the songs composed by all three original members are the best, like Feeling This and I Miss You.

Nice taste <3

I'm not good with genres... I usually listen to heavier stuff... hmm... rock... going by my itunes, which probally has the wrong genres... I like rock bands like Rise Against, the chili peppers, (old) lost prophets, jimmy eat world, alkaline trio... umm... foo fighters?

I'll refrain from listing bands nobody's heard of.

Rock is an all encompassing term that stretches from the edge of blues to the edges of metal, so anything in between is included.

Add Black Flag to my ballot for best band
