Quote from Mr. sickVisionz
1) I IIs the guy has a crush on a blond girl when he is young. However, she becomes a makeup artists and goes to america. In Ichigo, he has a crush on a a blond girl, but she leaves to france to do cooking. When she leaves, this frees up the main guy and a new girl is introduced into the story.
In Ichigo, I felt like the blond girl and the little girl who was his childhood friend was basically the writer splitting the character into two different people. Personality wise, the two blond girls were almost identical.
Are you talking about Nishino? Yea, she went to France, but that was in the end, after Manaka already chose her over Toujo. Before than, they were going out until High School, where they went to different schools. Then they broke up and, well, we all know how that ends. Also, you can almost say that their pairing was by accident. When he asked her out, he thought she was the strawberry girl. Before then, he never really thought about her like that. Maybe it was because he never thought he had a chance with her, but if you really look at it, it seemed like the one he had a crush on throughout the whole story was Toujo. Toujo was always that girl that he couldn't get off his mind, but Nishino is the one who touched his heart first. Also, you can say that when Manaka thought Toujo had a boyfriend, it opened the door for
Nishino.
The girl in I''s (I forget her name), she left somewhere in the middle of the story. The main character, Ichitaka, did have some kind of attraction towards her, but you can argue that is only because things weren't going well with Iori (which seemed to happen a lot, even after they got together).
If you look at things in its most basic form, everything has similarities. However, it is what you do with those basic concepts that give hints of originality (which at this point is hard, if not impossible to get 100%). So yes, they are similar, but if you really look into it, they are also very different.
