isnt haines mom atleast like 40 WTF
and who does she even end up with? it makes her look like a skank man

Haine was born when her mom was 18, so she's most likely 38- give or take a year up and down. Still fine to have a kid.

And thinking about it more, Haine made it very clear on the first page why she wanted to marry both - because of the lack for the registry for Takanari. She'd be married publicly to Shizu and in the shadows to Takanari. But him being publicly announced as still alive cleared up that problem.
It's not a horrible ending. But like a lot of manga it isn't perfect. After all it wasn't that that got us reading...

Typical ending by Tanemura. Since I personally think that this is a manga suitable for the younger audience. A slightly sadder ending would cause Tanemura-sensei to be flood with letters full of tears and such.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
She could have killed Shizumasa for all I cared, because even if he died, I supposed it was understandable. But oh well, killing a precious character might cause uproar among her fans.

shinorei you are totally wrong. %25 of fans being unhappy would better than all of them being angry.
threesome relationship would be emotional and it wont end happily. i wanna see 20 years later.
whats the point of love-triangle?
ok she wanted to marry both guys but guys want to share?
im sure she is going to get many disappointment letters.i cant find a better way to make all fans angry

Well...it was definitely a disappointment. I LOVE Tanemura-sensei and most of her suger-coated endings...but...this one was a bit much.

I think it's fine that everyone got with someone else, and even that Shizumasa was a good guy. Even the ending wouldn't have been that bad... But the pacing was really messed up on the last few chapters. I felt like several chapters worth of stuff was packed into one or two chapters. Also, the characters' personalities were lost when she stuffed all the plot into only a few chapters. They end up doing stuff that you really couldn't have imagined them doing. For example, they were hardly shocked when they found out that Takanari was the twin brother of the real Shizumasa.

Also, the unresolved love triangle made me a bit upset. Only pairing I really loved at the end of the series was Ushio x Senri.

Ah well...I hope Tanemura-sensei doesn't recieve too much negative fan mail. She DID work hard on this series, and I think she probably wanted the series to end this way. I'll just continue hoping for her improvement in the future...

The ending really pissed me off, waaaaaaaaayy too sugar-coated
I mean like her other series endings like Full Moon and Jeanne were tolerable endings but SDC was just way off.
Marry both of them? What will that solve!? And what's with Shizu coming back saying hes going to be a 'wife stealer'
Seriously this was very disapointing to what was a really good series

Hm. I think I know why Haine wants to marry both. If Takanari EVER dies on a weird circumstance, she can marry Shizumasa. I don't think she meant marrying them at the same time. That's how I view that. I actually enjoyed the ending.

I thought the ending was just fine until page 24/25 when Shizuma came back, that kind of destroyed the ending for me.
As the rest says, you really should learn to minor the endings a little, i'm always surprised how your series turns out in the end...

One of the most retarded endings I've ever seen... You don't end up with two guys -_-

they call it ultimate happy ending but it's kinda a little, too much wierd....meaning i really didn't like it very much. I mean haine wants to marry both, is that even possible and they gave shizumasa too much credit in the end even if he's the "bad people", whatever,,**poor takanari-sama

i wish something a little romantic happened but nothing did so its a little boring... embarrassed

series died when they started making the bad guy a victim and everyone's character just up and changed. Was pretty impressed with this ending though, not even ecchi shounens try to do that type of ending.

That made me laugh. It's true, this cute little girly manga actually gives you a 3P at the end. Talk about racy! bigrazz

@timduncan1:

I agree--you can't please everyone, so why even try? If a mangaka does a good job setting up the ending, fans aren't usually angry. Maybe a bit disappointed because they may not have gotten exactly what they wanted, but at least people can say that they saw the ending coming and still chose to read it anyway. (I don't mean a predictable ending, just one that logically follows everything that has come beforehand.)

Ah well. This mangaka religiously follows the "everyone must be paired off and happy" law of younger girl's shoujo, which is disappointing since it ends up ruining her series. I really preferred the ending of the Full Moon anime to the manga since we only got one couple in that one (the only one that actually mattered). Maybe we can get a better anime ending for this series too.

I agree with a previous post, the reason Haine said she would marry both was because to the world Takanari was "dead" I mean they announced him dead at 7 years old and it was not possible for her to marry him. The obvious solution was to marry shizumasa publicly but remain faithful to Takanari in secret. Once she took the trial and solved that mess and takanari was announced alive then she married Takanari "only" and it is obvious who she really loves...

Well, I wonder...

If the series ever turns into an anime or drama, the ending could be changed to be more realistic and that can make it better. ^_^
That could work. eyes

End of Chapter 45: "Oh my God!! Haine is dying from the bullet wound!! What will happen!!! confused
First Page of Next Chapter: Haine out of nowhere "I'll marry em both!!!"
Me: W.....T.......F......
Possibly THE worst ending of all time. What a crappy decision. Out of nowhere they made Shizumasa, a badass villain, turn into a little wimp with a frickin guilty conscience, then he starts to treat Takenari with so much respect and brotherly cuteness then he starts making funny faces and acting silly. How dumb!!!!!
I just seriously hope that Haine knows that marrying both of them will cause even bigger troubles for her and both brothers such as who the hell she's gonna have kids with and how strange their honeymoon is gonna turn out!!! DAMMIT!!!

Pardon my french biggrin
