Actually, it is a magazine. See the text there? They aren't screenshots, they're from NewType, Megami, and such (it even says "megami" at the top of a couple of the images). They're essentially ads with promotional art from articles, not screenshots. That's an entirely different entity, you even see fanservicey shots of shows like xxxHolic in those. I'm not saying that those shots aren't fanservicey, I'm saying they're utterly irrelevent as they're not actually in the show, and the entire point was based on the idea of context anyway.

Really, you can think whatever you want, I don't mind, but you should at least use evidence from within the actual show if you're going to argue, all you've got is a couple random ads (one of those actually is a DVD ad, by the way). Basing it off the of the description is sort of like saying that Seirei no Moribito is shotacon.

I've watched the anime and it's anything but loli !

I don't think it is 'loli' ...and I agree with people that said you'd have to be looking real hard to interpret it as such...and why would someone wanna do that?

Using promotional stuff (magazines) as a reference in the world of anime is in many cases nonsense...you should watch it and then comment on it.

Since when did I criticizes Kurenai? I never stated that the loli content was annoying me, actually I enjoyed it. Of course for people like you guys who see 'loli' as making an anime bad just because you have no idea that loli is actually quite popular in Japan even though it's not that used in anime.

I can't speak for anyone else (although I would assume that they are in the same boat as me), but the issue here is misrepresentation rather than whether or not something including lolicon is a negative thing. If you can't see that lolis are popular in Japan, you probably need some sort of brain examination, but this really isn't about ethics or anything else.

As Doc said, it's silly to judge something you haven't seen (and if you have seen it, I have to criticize you for not providing any evidence that actually comes from within the show, as all of it has been irrelevant). Remember, we're not talking about the franchise as a whole , only the anime, so the merchandise and the like really has no relevance. It's not like anyone here is trying to argue that the manga does not (or at least, I hope they aren't) contain any lolicon undertones. The people who have actually watched the anime seem to overwhelmingly agree with me here, if you want to look for loli undertones or whatever be my guest, but you're basically trying to get blood from a stone.

I think you guys gotta read what I stated. I did state I watched the anime. And to me the nudity was fanservices. It's not fanservices for you because you dislike loli and don't want to see this show affiliated like that.
But really, we'll only know who's right when the DVD version for the second bath scene appears.

I have to wonder if you actually read your own posts. You never actually stated such a thing, if you go back and look, you sort of vaguely and indirectly implied it, which is why I included the second clause there. But really, can you blame us when you only provide external sources as evidence? It's just silly.

If you want to talk about bias, let's review:
-We have essentially a self-proclaimed lolicon and one heavily opposed person who only watched the trailer saying that it is. This is what we call a "bias". -_-;; You're free to interpret scenes however you want, but to assume you speak for any sort of majority is far too presumptuous when you have virtually no unbiased allies.
-I can't speak for the others (although it's probably safe to assume that at least Doc thinks the same way I do here) but I really have no issue with lolicons as long as it stays outside of reality (i.e. no pedophilia). Regardless, we have a pretty overwhelming number of people on my side in comparison, and to assume all of them have to opposite bias as you is more a method of denying reality than anything else.

...isn't this a closed matter? Even if there is a DVD extra (which once again exists outside the continuity of the normal series) designed to appeal to one sector of the fanbase, it really has little to no impact on the entire series. If we had many, then it would be another issue entirely, but we don't. Regardless, you have yet to present any actual evidence that an unbiased person agrees with, so your argument holds no water.

I'm not very familiar with kurenai, so I'll just trus crenshi's descriptions.

But still, it's common for people to start screaming "loli" when they see a little girl, next to an older male.
It's funny, because as I understand, lolicon "is sexual attraction to underaged females".
Showing a little girl in a bath isn't lolicon... Fanservice will be correct, no?
For the fans to drool over lolies.

I can compare it with chokotto sister. Many will say it's lolicon, from the same reason I've mentioned above, that it's a little girl with an older male.
But they don't have a romantic/sexual relationship so you can't call it lolicon...

If you say series such as these are lolicon, you'll say everything is lolicon when it comes to little girls with older guys, only from standing with each other.
Next thing people will seriously start saying that Usagi drop is lolicon.
