I'm gonna be a lawyer. In 10 years. Once I graduate from school. And I'll come back to this thread and reply. (:

nazomi88, where are you located? If you're an intern training to be a lawyer, it doesn't sound like you're in the states. How long does it take to become a lawyer? Have you already gone to school or are you in school now?
I'm into anime and manga, and I'm in NY. I've met accountants that are into it, but not really lawyers. For the most part, I haven't met any professionals that are into it.
I can't help you with how the courts are like in Japan, but when I went to Tokyo in the spring, I was impressed with the Supreme Court building. My best friend was only allowed to take pictures from the sidewalk.

If it sorta helps, the video games "Phoenix Wright" series gives a vague idea of what Japanese courts are like...

And the man himself arrives.
@C.C.: Phoenix Wright series isn't realistic, at all. I love them to death though. When will the new game come out...!

Well... I'm not a lawyer.
But you said you wanted to know how it was practiced in Japan..... I was once flipping through the channels on TV one day while I was living in Tokyo..... I got a glimpse of some live-courtroom show..... all I can say is that there's an unbelievable amount of people bowing.... Take the amount of bowing in regular Japanese life and multiply it by 10.
Hope that helps.
