I just drop a manga, because the main girl is a tomboy and thinks she is in love with her brother's kindergarten teacher becoz he is the only one who treat her as girl. At the same time, the friend of the kindergarten teacher who happens to be a hairstylish is interested in her. But she totally hate him very much. But we all know, who she is going to fall in love eventually. dead

I've read so much shoujo manga its sad xD
I don't know if any of these have been said, but I was alittle lazy and stopped reading them..sorry
1.The boy that the heroine "just happened to meet the day before" transfers into her class and "just happens" to get the seat next to her.
2.it doesn't matter how much people hate eachother, they always, always end up together in the end (this really annoys me)
3.sooner or later some other guy appears and wants to take the chick, thus a love triangle begins!
4.every character is somehow super pretty / good looking, and if they're not then they get some makeover later on in the story.
5.apparently a lot of people in shoujo manga don't have parents..?(this concerns me, why is a middle schooler living alone in an apartment? xD)
6.A lot of heroines usually go a little stalkerish over their crush...scary.
that's about all I could think of right now, again, sorry if one of those has already been said /x

I noticed that I like cliche lol D:
But only in a certain amount.
I suppose if I'd dislike cliche scenes I'd have stopped reading them by now haha XD"
But as long as the manga has enough sense and original ideas coming along with cliche.. I'm fine with it :3
And of course I like to read some totally different plots in between to get away from the cliche as well.

I think the cliche that I see most is that the female lead is in love with some mr. Perfect when suddenly a "bad" guy shows up who she keeps on fighting with until they eventually end up together.

I can't say if I like or dislike it because it always depends on the characters, rest of the plot and art. u.u

Sooo:

I like reading cliche stories as long as they're not cliche pure :3

1. When the girl blushes furiously everytime there is skin contact. No.
2. Appearance of the 'childhood friend'! (Never, never do I see the childhood friend end up with the main character.)

3. When the guy is simply a fricking douche...
4. and when he's just so perfect (eg. good in sports, good in studies, good with girls, too hot for his shirt.)
5. or when he's just too nice. (no such thing, trust me!)

6. When the girl has no backbone! (Let's all read Mayu Shinjo's shoujo!)
7. When the girl starts off ugly (nearly always with specs) and bad hair and then undergoes a transformation where everything changes. She gets contacts, hair styled, an mini-skirt, and all that.
8. Bitches just like to pop out somewhere or another in the manga and the female lead will have to endure their bullying. I would beat the daylights out of them.
9. The girl does nothing but cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry and cry. Oh did i mention cry?

10. Follow up to number 9: Damsel in distress, damsel in distress, damsel in distress. Yay!
11. Follow up to number 10: Rape, rape and more rape...

Yeah, I especially hate when bitches show up randomly, haleymoon's "next day transfer student", and someone named the cliche where the character "doesn't know what this feeling is", what's this badump, why's my heart beating so fast!! am I sick?!?!?
I'm sure someone has mentioned this one already, but I'll just add to the fire:

The I'm-breaking-up-with-you-to-protect-you cliche. Highschool bullying involved, when possible. God I hate it so much. It's incredibly stupid, yet it's everywhere. It's normally -her- that goes up to -him- and with a straight-face-NOT-because-she's-obviously-crying-her-eye s-out goes XXX-KUN! LET'S BREAK UP! and it's like are you serious? YES I'M SERIOUS you don't love me? NO I DON'T! and storms out and two days later (and this is the most stupid part) the guy shows up super shiny in whatever situation (preferably rescuing her or something) and goes OMG DONT ASK ME HOW BUT I KNOW YOU WERE JUST TRYING TO PROTECT ME! DERPYDERRP I LURV YOU AND YOU LURV ME! and everything's fine again until the next shoujo cliche arises, of course.

1) He doesn't like me, my life is OVERRRR
2)I know, they are unattractive, but 80% of the stories just have to make them flat chested
3)Kiss while they are sleeping
4)EXTREMELY stupid

I'll add more later

if a girl cuts your finger and a guy licks it he is just looking for some disease. and shes gonna get an infection.
i HATE it when all a girl does is cry and blush. i hate weak heroines. as for guys i hate the over the top doucheyness of some of them. or the fact that they treat her like crap and she STILL loves them! Breaking up to protect them doesnt work either.
Also when the girl is "too embarssed" to do things with the guy like HOLD HANDS!?!?!?!?!

Some shoujo-ness seem to be around, all the time that I'm not sure... if they're already called standards? (e.g. The clinic scene, tripping and getting a sprain, I don;t know I don't really feel anything after seeing it so many times, It's up to the mangaka on how this will be delivered then maybe I'll be impressed. For me the worst thing about shoujo anime cliche's? Most probably the things you find on Harems >.> I really hate Harem the genre itself totally!! Having too many guys like you and you seem to be too "normal" doesn't that seem weird or much too unrealistic wherever you look at it

OMFG! he/ she looked at me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blush!!!
Why can't he/ she be like "Oh God! I touched a girl/ boy I am gonna get cooties!!"
OR
The Parents or families.
Why does every main character, generally the boy who is too hot for his shirt and excellent at everything he does (Important question: If he is so great why can't he turn everything he touches into gold?), have one or both parents or siblings dead? Or involved in criminal activities (generally the siblings)? Or an evil step-parent? Or all of the above?
OR
The Dreaded Low Blood Pressure
Why can't he get up early? If he can't, how is he on time to school every day?

In my opinion, the worst shoujo cliche is when the heroine is some lonely girl who is a bit of an outcast when really, she seems perfectly normal to me, almost cookie cutter like, and then for some reason some really hot guy is falls completely in love with her...

But you know, in a way I like shoujo cliches, they make the embarrassing impossible things that I would want to happen to me possible. biggrin

How 1/2 of the main couple must be cool/popular/good-looking/highly sought after while the other half is less so, or worse, clumsy/ugly/shy/a moron. In shoujo mangas the better half is usually the male love interest and in shounen, the female. It'll be nice to read more romance mangas that involve just two ordinary and equal persons.

I COMPLETELY AGREE. -_-
I completely hate sniveling princesses and, "I'll rescue you!" princes.

1. When there is romance.
2. When the couple has contrasting hair color.
