Nintendo's conference was the most entertaining (teleportan' Shiggy!), but Sony ultimately won it for me.
Gabe's surprise appearance was just mindblowing. The prospect of Steam elements coming to PS3 had me drooling pools over the keyboard. Not to mention the impressive
Portal 2 trailer and Glados takeover.
Killzone 3 looked fantastic, awesome to see the new melee system in action. Jump-packs look like buckets o' fun as well.
PSN+ is something I've been waiting for quite some while. Might not be the massive package it was rumoured to be, but still well worth the money. Beta access, exclusive demos and trials, two free minigames, one PS3 game, one PS1 classic, avatars, dynamic themes, DLC and more. Day one purchase, no doubt about it!
Glued to my seat for the entirity of Kevin Butler's epic speech. Incredibly cheesy as it was, its hard not to admire the guy's charisma and balls.
Nintendo 3DS looked cool, although its hard to judge from recorded footage and not first-hand experience. Roster of games developed for it is pretty amazing.
Only thing I liked from Microsoft's conference was the
Call of Duty: Black Ops footage. Oh, and the Vietnam expansion pack for
BFBC2. A Christmas of Nam for me!
