Personally i agree with TaoPaiPai, it's rather lame sometimes to read manga with weak protagonist but what i hate more is the all mighty protagonist whose-body-made-of-flesh-and-blood-but-hard-as-steel-and-unbeata ble.

Seriously the world is filled with losers and the average Joe and Jane most of you despises in manga as protagonist, just look around beyond your safe zone and you'll see most of people in the world are like this, some work as labor in a factory risking their lifes everyday while working with heavy machinery and for what? for wages only enough for eating and simple housing?

This what makes a manga interesting, real character u can see everydays, not some out of the world protagonist whose perfect in every sense.

Problems with these particular series is that they want us to relate to these normal guys in these extraordinary situation. IE, OMG, an alien cat girl just appeared before and made me her husband! But wait, she's a princess and has half the Bishie princes of the universe after her tail and they're willing to annihilate me, along with Earth, to get her!!! Oh well, guess I'll just continue living my life normally and see what happens!

OMG! I'd just been kidnapped for the eighth time today and had to be rescue by Cat Girl Princess, her female tsundere rival for the throne: Cat Girl Princess black, her imoto loli fan club member Cat Girl Princess Pink, her masculine-but-has-a-oh-so-hot-feminine-side royal guard Maid Cat Girl blue, and her Onee-chan type character best friend Cat Girl Princess white! Oh well...I'll just continue living my life normally and see what happens. Seems to me that if you guys are sick of having to associate with getting rescued by cat girls, you should try reading a real man's manga, such as: Gantz, Berserk, Monster, Homonculus, or for the matter any seinen; I have yet to see a seinen that involves a very weak main char; unless that main char ends up being some psycho like Ichi the Killer.

what about the famous story about a nerd falling in love with a girl? the one where he ask help from a forum on how to impress a girl and do it even though its really out of his area?
I believe how the story is approach through making a impression to support him cause he isn't really a weakling its something new but he does tackle it which allow people to encourage him.

I do note understand the wimpy guy who has all these hot chicks for him but he doesn't know what to do. How hes so indecisive in which to pick cause each girl offer a different thing he like but not close enough to know everything about them, which drag on and on. Oh no that's not it at all. If there's some woman that's stronger than me and has supernatural powers and crap like that as well as her enemy than I won't mind getting protected by her.

Its only if the enemy is some normal human asshole that put the mc's girl through some type of trauma in the past which makes her unable to fight back or do anything at all while the mc that is also a normal human is unable to do shit is what pisses me off. That's the kinda of main protagonist I hate in harem mangas/anime.

Also especially if they all of a sudden make up after that once they beat them. No its alright this asshole standing before me just put the girl I love through all sorts of physical and mental trauma back when they were younger but that's okay cause where friends now. SCREW THAT!

No being saved by a stronger girl is not the issue here. Its just how useless they make the mc's sometimes and there oh so naive thinking that its not right to kill when they obviously deserve it.
