Monster
tenma was umm 21+(not sure) and anna/nina was like 12.
After the 9 year time skip, she somewhat became the main heroine(or I think love interest, haven't finished it yet)..

I don't think Monster really counts. I never got the impression that Tenma and Nina were romantically interested in each other, and I've read up to volume 14.

to be honest I'm not really that far ahead, but I think its not all that impossible considering all the subtext between the 2, though I'm pretty sure nina has a thing for tenma(I'm not sure about tenma). Anyway I'm not really hoping for romance between the 2 cuz this isn't really a romance manga.

Baby Love could work. She falls in love with him, then it goes to years later when they meet again. The age gap isn't actually huge, per say, three or four years, at this point it's more that she's so young. Only 12 when at the beginning of the present time in the manga--well, since they haven't done anything physical I can overlook it, and time is passing in the manga, so I suppose she'll get to an acceptable age and then...

I'll second Until Death Do Us Part and add, that as someone who's up on the chapters I can say that it is still in the period where the age gap isn't acceptable yet but I fully expect it to get there, whether through time skip or time passing naturally in the manga.

Aren't they the same age in Pansy though?

Anyway, I second Miriam. Nadia has one in the end with the little girl in the anime.

If my memory serves me right, at the beginning of the story Pansy was around 10 and Ed was 18.

Depending on how you interpret the ending, Candy Candy might also count

Alright. My bad.

In recent chapters, Kekkaishi seems to be going that route, but then again, it's only a 2-year difference.

ehh?? if I remember correctly both Anthony and Therrius are around the same age as Candy, only 1 or 2 years gap..
and as for William/Albert or William Albert Audrey, if that is the one you talk about, he's Candy's foster-father.. and I dont think there is any romance relation between them.

There's also the anime version of "Little women" although I haven't finished it. If it's very faithful to the book, than ya, this should count.

THere's a manga I read once, it has not been translated in English unfortunately, called the Shingo and Kumiko series. The manga starts when the guy was 10 and the girl was 17 and when they were 20 and 27 respectively. They already like each other but don't really act much like a couple other than holding hands because of how young he is. They also get suitors in their age groups including a classmate of the guy but they stay together. I thought it was well done like Dear mine. .Too bad, it's never been translated in English

Also Forgot to mention Please Save My Earth although briefly at the end though.
