Whoa, I just noticed on the colored chapter cover that Naruto had Rasengans rising from the flames on his body and hovering around him. That might be a little clue as to what he can do with his new power...

It really has become a zombie apocalypse. Next chapter will probably be depressing since they'll be fighting against the "people" they once knew..

Anyway, I'm still hyped up for the next chapter. :3

Oh yeah, if he is all that powerful and can bring anyone back, why not just bring back the Sage of 6 paths, the original ninja? If you can bring anyone back, bring back the God of Chakra and single handedly destroy everyone who opposes you.

Shhhh... you're talking too much sense!

I'm hating Kabuto's undead army as well; it comes across as shameless fanservice--Your favorite characters are dead? No problem, Kishimoto will bring them back just for you! I mean Zabuza and Haku? Really? If we're bringing back legendary fighters from the past, I doubt they qualify.

Well, I suppose it's good for the dramaz. I agree with what other people said: Naruto is totally fighting his father (what better way to prove he's even stronger than the strongest Hokage ever?), Shikamaru will probably take on Asuma, and that looked like Neji's dad standing just to Asuma's right, so there's another probable matchup. As for why Kabuto would bother resurrecting Chiyo when she's just on old woman, that's obviously Sakura's matchup. Clearly the only kind of fight Sakura can be counted on winning is against a decrepit old woman.

This "war" is gonna be loooong.

Anyway, my jaw dropped when Naruto started whining about returning to Konoha the second his "mission" was over so he could wait for Sasuke. Because he "made a promise" to him. And what promise was he referring to? Oh yes, that they would die together. Oh Naruto, please change.

Jiraiya, Kushina, Minato, which body will fight Naruto I wonder?

Kushina and Minato are off limits, iirc. Orochimaru's edo tensei technique summons a soul and puts it in a "body," but some souls are impossible to summon such as those who are either sacrifices or targets of Minato's technique that summoned that Death God and sealed a soul. Hence why we don't see any of the previous 4 hokages, since they're all in the Death God.

Kabuto seemed to summon some pointless people though: jinchurriki without their bijuu? Pain without his Rinnengan? Haku? Oh well, as long as they put up some type of fight.

I'm kind of excited to see everyone not named Shikamaru, Kakashi or Naruto in action, though if this "war" has to have any meaning some of them have to die without any revival BS (though I find that highly improbable). And what are the other kages doing if Gaara and co. are going to be at the front lines of this war? Will they be the ones taking on Madara head on?

While it's nice to see some old faces... I'm not completely for this undead army thing. I dunno, it just feels like not much thought is being given. Maybe I'm just thinking too much, but we'll see where this goes.

Oh shit, this war has got a lot of potential. I just hope Kishimoto doesn't make this too long or too short, and that he shows the powers of some people who were only introduced and haven't fought that much (Like the former tailed beast hosts).

Quote from mirahsan2
Who thinks some of these old bodies will switch sides?.

If I remember correctly it's impossible for the bodies to turn against the person who summoned them, cause the 1st and 2nd Hokage would've turned against Orochimaru when he resurrected them to fight against the 3rd Hokage.

The summoning itself didn't bind them, it was the seal placed in their heads afterwards that did. But either way this chapter is showing signs of how Naruto used to be when they were taking the exams. Which means Kishimoto's probably jumping back to the basics of his story, then over complicating it like has been in the past ever since Sasuke retrieval arc. Also you guys are sleeping on the quality of ninjas being revived here. These guys were actually very powerful and rare people in that world. Like Haku and Zabuza, just cause they were the first guys fought in the series as a major arc doesn't mean they're weak. Zabuza was a legendary swordsman like Kisame, and Haku was a rare ninja that had the ability to create the ice element. No one could copy his mixture which was like the 1st Hokage's wood element. The fallen Jinchuurikis have a huge wellspring of chakra like Naruto, and considering the jutsu used to revive them will probably let them retain their skills before they died. These guys being revived aren't pushovers, they're actually sone stupid trouble when you look at it.

jinchurriki are formidable ninja of their own right. Some are at kage level. Like Killer Bee for example, he is a powerful ninja by himself that how he is able to control the tail beast.

This chapter had a huge, Final arc feel to me °3°

taking into accout that all the main chars will be gathered, every single God-mode power you can think of implanted in them. Then all the loose end villians participating. It feels this war will wrap everything up and either during or after will have the naruto Vs sasuke fight finishing it up.

yup to me it would seem this would be the perfect way to end this.

though i totally see kishi pull a FLEEEEEEE~ with one of his chars >.>

I really enjoyed this mass revival although if kabuto can pull all this off why doesn't he revive orochimaru. I'm still wondering whether the revived sasori is human or puppet though. And finally we may be able to see the other jinchuriki in action.

I'm wonder who will naruto's final opponent in the series be sasuke/madara or even kabuto.

I hope that's what happens! Naruto has dragged on forever; The series has been down hill since Jiraiya's death. All we can hope for is that masashi doesn't botch this arc, it has potiental even if some of the ressurected characters are lame.
