And I also noticed there's no smut manga in the shoujo tourney. XD 5 years ago when I was a manga addict there was only shoujo and shounen and nothing else. I am so happy that I'm adding W-Juliet to today's shojou poll in group B!!! >.< As Dr. Love said, Nana is in fact categorized as Josei and was already a contestant in this section of the tournament. And about the smut.......you are totally right, but I have no idea of anything shoujou related. I have only read 3 shoujou in my life and they are already in the lists. I also noted that there is no Yaoi in the shoujou polls, but nothing I can do if no one nominates them. Just a few notes: GUNNM is already in the polls as Battle Angel Alita, and Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou as Kare Kano. And Nana and Nodame Cantabile are already in the polls, in fact, Nodame is competing right now in group A. If I can nominate more than three titles for josei, then I'd also like to add Kiss and Never Cry (otherwise I'll just hang on to 'nomination tickets' and let someone else nominate Kiss and Never Cry.) Nodame Cantabile, Usagi Drop and Hotaru no Hikari all made the Top 10 best-seller for josei title in Japan last year. Would be interesting to see how they fare with the international audience. ^_^
