I was wondering when this topic would pop up. Must say i was always intrested.
My name ist a combination of nicknames i had. In ninth grade i had a lot of friends call me bully becuase i had long hair, voice chane and they said i looked and sounded like the german comedian Bully. I wasn't really called jesus very often. Not because I'm chrisitan or anything, ( more the opposite ) but once again because of the long bad kept hair. Anyway, as a joke or to sign stupid stuff i had a full nic with last name: Bully Jesus Kriefuck. Anyway, i liked the way bully jesus sounds like i bully around jesus, and am still waiting for the day that somebody gets angry about it. Never happens though sad

So, wish you well, yours truely B_J Kriefuck

Hello everyone! Interesting topic PoCha. It's really cool to hear where everyone's nicks originated.

My nick is part of a quote from Macbeth where Lady Macbeth says "I heard the owl scream", meaning she heard the murder being committed. Another nick that I use is "ladymacbeth*unsexed*", which comes from the scene where she is praying for the removal of her compassion inherit to most women so she could abide being an accomplice to murder...which didn't really work out - see act 5. :-P

And no, I'm not a callous murdering woman who can't stop washing her hands. I just really enjoyed the play and thought it sounded like a good nick to use on IRC.

On a lighter note, my husband and I named our daughter, Ezri, after a Star Trek character 'cause we are trekkie dorks.

I hope realise what you have done to your daughter? Be ready to receive her undying hate...
I just wish that in her genereaton there wouldn't be that much people that gets where that name comes from and you better tell her to never tell anyone either...
Don't you know how cruel the kids can be?

On another note, I'm sure nobody cares about my nick (Since it's not that original, but I'll say it anyway.
It came from a long time ago, apparently I have this weird habit of walking without making a noise. (Everybody always complains that I startled them, and asks me where did I pop out from). Eventually my friends started to joke about that and call me a ninja or that I actually just teleport behind them on purpose etc...
(I know it doesn't sound funny it wasn't really)
And then I one day learned the meaning of Stealth in english (remember english is just my fourth language, even though I mastered way better than my third -spanish-...).
So it just came then as a nick that sounded nice, and for non english speaking areas it sound a litle tiny bit original you see.

Macbeth was best play written by Shakespeare IMO. Othello was merph.

my nickname.
back in the old days (not long ago). there use to be a thing called msn chat room, being "typical" teenager who wanted explore the "internet" going into a chat room was a must on the check list. I didn't really have a nickname at the time so I click randomize nickname and stubbly_animal popped up. I recently shorten it down to stubbly, I think I'm bit too old for the animal bit.

how many kids still know about star trek these days? Maybe if she was named the enterprise or something, which would never happen, but that is how ridiculous the reference would have to be

I know... But never underestimate how those thing goes arround. It's a mystery of science!
And anyway, the name in itself sucks. Usually people name their kids something with a nice underlying meaning. Or maybe after great historical figures, and I mean so great that they become Icons: something like Hannibal, Alexandre, Marie, Adam etc.. (Ok you can count Marie and Adam as not historical but they are still iconical)

EDIT: Happy now daed? Anyway, I've always been more into quantity than quality...lol
